Upon entering the hallowed grounds of QDOBA, I was immediately struck by a divine aroma that danced through the air like a mariachi serenade from the heavens. It was as if the very spirit of culinary excellence had descended upon this humble fast-casual establishment and declared, “Let there be flavor!”
Let us begin with the queso—nay, the elixir of the gods. Velvety, rich, and possessing a warmth that could mend broken hearts, this queso transcends mere dairy and spice. It is a molten testament to mankind’s gastronomic potential. I would bathe in it, were it socially acceptable.
My burrito, a veritable tapestry of seasoned beef, fiery pico de gallo, perfectly seasoned rice, and sultry, slow-simmered black beans, was handcrafted with the reverence of an artisan sculpting Michelangelo’s David. Each bite was a journey through a sun-drenched Mexican countryside—robust, soul-stirring, and profoundly moving.
The staff? Imagine a team of culinary angels, hand-selected by the universe to deliver joy, one tortilla at a time. Their radiant smiles and genuine enthusiasm for their craft turned an ordinary lunch into a spiritual experience.
And the guacamole—sweet merciful guacamole! Smooth as silk, bright as a spring morning, kissed with lime and salt in such precise proportions that I momentarily forgot the burdens of earthly existence.
In a world awash with mediocrity, QDOBA emerges as a lighthouse of delicious defiance. It is not just a restaurant—it is a revolution. I left uplifted, fulfilled, and quite possibly forever changed.
Five stars? Nay. The stars themselves pale in comparison. QDOBA deserves a...
Read moreThis Qdoba needs internal work especially for the busy location. I’ve been a frequent customer at Qdoba for years and was excited for this location opening as I have always travelled to Tampa from St.Pete until now. Seeing it start off to a rocky start is disheartening. I’ve been twice since their opening and ordered nachos. Both times they were made incorrectly with an upcharge. Nachos are supposed to have 2 scoops of Queso and the young lady on the line has put barely one spoon full both times. It’s so frustrating because of how obviously incorrect it is for what I’m ordering. A bowl with queso added ≠ Nachos. Additionally, she did not put adequate meat in the bowl & I’ve never been one to have an exaggerated expectation for my portion size, again I am a frequent customer. The young lady is sweet but there is obviously a training issue that should be corrected asap considering she is on the line preparing orders. I’ve paid over $20 twice for what should have been $13 nachos, the first time in error (on them) and the 2nd time because I had to order a side of queso because I just didn’t care to speak up AGAIN about the same issue & worker not putting the correct amount of ingredients. I love Qdoba and I’m optimistic about this location, but I think I’ll drive a little further to the Tampa Qdoba until they iron out the opening kinks. Hopefully I can delete this review...
Read moreWow, I can't believe how many times I passed by this place and didn't stop in! My mistake! Not only was the place unique in its design (note: the huge fan in the dining room—I've never seen anything like that!), it was colorful and full of lively music. I thought I was in a different dimension of time. The crew and customers were all smiling! Good, real, fresh, healthy food will do that for you. That's what I found out about this place. That was the best part. The crew is friendly, efficient, and very generous.
They have a point system and don't charge for some things that other places do! But again, the color of the food—it looked beautiful. It had to taste incredible, and I still can't believe how many times I passed by and went to the other place. I'm not going to mention it here, just to be respectful. But you know what I'm talking about? They got too big for their own good, and I don't go there anymore. I have a new favorite place. I'm very excited about it. Maybe I'll even try to get a job there because then the food would be discounted! I got there early before they opened, but they let me in and let me take a couple of pictures. I'm going to include them. I think I want to work...
