I am 52 years old, and my father is 82. Yesterday my old Dad wanted to go out for dinner, so I suggested Noodles & Company. I was a little worried about the stairs. I didn't see any handicap access. Well my Dad made it up the stairs OK and I got him seated. We looked at the menus and I went to order. I ordered one glass of red wine and the cashier asked me for my identification. I said "do you believe I am underage? Here is my identification" and then I said, it isn't even for me, it is for my Dad. And I pointed out my 82 year old father. She said "well I have to check his identification if he is the one ordering the wine." So she goes over to my father who has no idea why she is confronting him and ordering him to produce identification. He complies though and she looks his identification over with more than the thoroughness of an SS soldier at a boarder crossing during WWII. She say's to my Dad "Your drivers license has expired!" Well my Dad hasn't driven in 10 years now. So she wouldn't let my Dad have a glass of wine with his meal. As we left immediately, several other patrons came up to us and expressed how disrespectful the restaurant was to us. I will never go back to this place. They have quite a young and active clientele. Perhaps they just don't like old people who want to have a glass of wine with dinner. I have lived in Salt Lake City my entire life. I have never before been treated like this. I want to edit this only to give ZERO stars and not even one. That is...
Read moreWe went to noodles last night and did not have a very good experience. Instead of being greeted by, hello how are you? It was.. “it’s going to take at least 20 min do you still want to order?” I started to order a kids meal Mac and cheese. They were out of broccoli and applesauce, leaving only dessert for a side. They were out of juice and chocolate milk and wouldn't sub for a soda, leaving only milk, which my kids don’t like. So I cancelled that and ordered a regular Mac instead. My friend and I both ordered pad Thai. Our food came out a little faster than we expected which was great. The 2 pad Thai were super yummy as well. (Which is the only reason I gave 2 stars over 1). The Mac and cheese was supposed to be a regular size but maybe had the amount of noodles as the small. It also barely had enough cheese sauce to cover the noodles. Usually a reg size feeds my 2 kids just fine and needless to say they were still hungry when they finished their 5 bites. I went back up and ordered another reg Mac. The credit card machine froze while I was using it and no one really knew how to handle it. Finally the kid just told me to go sit down and he’d bring my food out. This bowl had even less noodles! To top it off the restaurant was cold making your meal ice cold before you were to the last bite. We usually love Noodles but I’m not sure when we will go again after...
Read moreDO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. so sad because we talked this place up to our extended family, and normally go every time we’re up in the area to a different location. We decided to go to this one since it was near the zoo. We got there and the trash was overflowing severely. The staff was not very helpful. The portions were small, the Mac and cheese had little to no cheese (the kids were begging to not finish it, which never happens even with boxed Mac and cheese), the meatballs were gross, the pork did not look right and worst of all, my sister found a giant piece of sharp plastic in her noodles!!! When pointed out to the staff they did not apologize or offer anything. We ordered drinks and their soda machines were out of most sodas (what’s the point in paying extra for a soda if they only have like 2 options?), when it was slow, they did not attend to the overflowing trash or gross restaurant, they stood in back talking and filling their own soda cups (with one of the two flavors available). We were sorely disappointed and we may not return to another noodles and co because we all felt sick and lost appetites...
