I first knew this building back in 2014–2015, when it wasn’t being used and sadly had become a place for homeless people to sleep, with public toilets and a strong smell of pee. I always thought it was such a waste for such a beautiful historic building.
Now in 2025, I came back to Utah and was absolutely blown away by the transformation! They’ve beautifully restored it and turned it into a luxury hotel with an amazing bar. They kept the original character of the building while giving it new life, such a perfect use of space.
I went to the bar right away, the service was excellent, and the food was great. The location is also ideal: right by downtown Salt Lake and all the main attractions, and only about a 15-minute ride from the airport on the clean, affordable UTA TRAX.

It's completely icky and hypocritical to have this mural in a bar!!! History or not, the church is a cult and needs to be removed from any and all adults things in this state.
