Disappointed. The bar and two food places were open before 5. The Asian fusian place by the front door was the best we had delicious spring rolls It was fresh and beautifully presented The staff were pleasant and professional. But it was to cold to sit at their bar Blaze of thunder ,we got the recomended spice for our chicken and the 10 dollar meal of 4 chicken tenders ,ranch, bread, and pickles. We waited 25 minutes for our buzzer to alert us. When it didnt I went to check on our food. There had been a staff change and our food was sitting with other greasy boxes under a heat lamp. The chicken lacked flavor. There was no sauce on it. The ranch was bland. The bread had absorbed dark brown grease. The pickles were very good. The staff seemed out of sorts and rushed. They were not rude but not friendly Skinny fats we were excited to eat there. We had looked at the menu online and had some ideas of what we wanted. The menu had changed and was smaller due to covid. It is a fourth of the size of the menus we saw online. We got the caulifire veggies and the naked chix bowl As well as the Liquid defense and Green mile drinks. The food came up in a timely manner and looked beautiful. The cauliflower was in great portion sizes and was not mushy. It was very hot and very spicy There were two dips and one was creamy and had no notable flavor but the barbeque dipping sauce was very good. It was not to sweet and had a rich smokey flavor. The rice bowl was a smaller portion than we had thought it would be. It was sweet and the red peppers and vegetables were mushy and there was not much chicken and it smelled and tasted fishy. We enjoyed the drinks they were very refreshing The staff was warm and professional. NOTE if you park in the pay parking lot no one can validate your ticket. Also note Hall pass only accepts debit or...
Read moreI don’t often write reviews but I’m compelled after this experience. I travel for work and googled good food near me - I saw the Nashville style chicken and wouldn’t rest until I tried it. Disclaimer: I am aware of the concept of this establishment. I successfully bartended and served in a food hall for years. I’m familiar with the chaotic, specific , unique flow of how the ordering process works. I want to address the fact that this is right next to an arena which obviously draws in the super hyper patrons. Immediately walking in - I wanted to leave. The exasperating club music and chaos of finding a table (especially for one) was a bit hectic and embarrassing. But I was very motivated by that chicken. I figured to do what I do best - sit at the bar. The whole place was steadily busy and it seemed the bartenders were maybe a little peeved - I understand - perhaps explaining the rules over and over gets old. I went to go order the chicken so I could just get out. After awkwardly circling the restaurant twice I sat next to a couple near a railing. I got the mild chicken & waffles with a side of ranch and pickles. I must declare these chicken n waffles are otherworldly. I’ll dream of them….. the lady who took my order at the chicken counter was very pleasant as well. I wouldn’t recommend going to this bar alone unless you’ve had a few drinks and ready to dance to a six flags theme song x Kendrick Lamar x Green Day remix while fighting for a seat. Maybe it’s different on a night of no game. I’ll come back - preferably with coworkers when I find myself working in SLC again. Maybe that will take the awkward edge off of being alone in such an obnoxious environment. Here’s proof that the chicken n waffles were 10/10 Loved the food - didn’t care for the vibe - but this maybe exactly what you’re...
Read moreI’ve been here a few times. I really enjoy the different types of food!! I wish that more of the restaurants were open later or together to give you more options. Last night I went there with my best friend to eat and have some drinks before the Bieber concert. This is where they lost a star.
I have a rare neurological disease which you already know if you read my reviews. The only ADA seats which are low top are at the bar. 3 young and healthy girls were sitting there. Not disabled, just like the rest of us trying to find somewhere to sit. I asked the tender if they could ask them to surrender their seats. They said they couldn’t so I asked for the manager. He also said he couldn’t and would not. He offered us to sit outside at the picnic table. But there is no drink service outside. So someone like myself who has to conserve their energy just to take their next step would have to make trips to the bar.
But WAIT. This is why I gave 4 stars not 3. A wonderful waitress (I’m sorry Brooke if that’s not your title!) and another server gave us a call button and said they’d be sure we were taken care of! And we sure were!! ❤️❤️❤️ Both so nice and so kind!
Note to management: I think it would be a cool idea to put a sign at the ADA seating stating something like “You may be asked to surrender your seats if they are needed by ADA customers.” It was a bit of a bummer to have to complain like that. Please understand that disabilities are seen...
