Wow… just wow. I couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate my birthday with my loved ones. We had plans to head to another celebration afterward, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave! The ambiance is absolutely stunning—thoughtfully designed with a variety of seating options that make it perfect for any group or vibe. The live music was incredible and really elevated the entire evening. We tried the seasonal wine flight (delicious!) and some cocktails, (the manhattan was a unique & delicious surprise) and the menu was creatively written—it was actually fun to read through. Every item was beautifully presented, and I really appreciated how inclusive the drink menu was, with lots of non-alcoholic options. It made me feel comfortable bringing friends who don’t drink so they could enjoy the full experience too. Loved the location. We walked to our next event and look forward to coming back for future plans at wiseguys or the delta center. Here’s what we ordered: • Charcuterie board – great variety and the perfect size for four people. Loved the meats, cheeses, nuts, fruit, and spreads. • Truffle deviled eggs – SO good. Would definitely get again. • Flatbread – packed with great flavors! I personally would’ve loved a bit more meat and tomato, but it was still fantastic. • Wine milkshake for dessert – totally surprised us in the best way. Fun to share! Shoutout to Kaleb for being so fantastic—attentive, kind, and helpful even on a busy night. His passion and professionalism shined through. I truly felt like a queen on my birthday. Huge kudos to the team at The Tasting Room. You’ve created something really special. Can’t wait to come back!

Want to really impress your date? This is the place! This is a gorgeous, warm and inviting bar with a main seating area and smaller, more private rooms around. The decorating is impeccable- hand-made, live edge tables, Einstein bulb chandeliers, and comfortable seating. Famous boujee boozes, something for everything, including wine milkshakes! The charcuterie has a perfect blend of sweet, savory, and surprising; it varies depending on what’s in season. Ours had balsamic vinegar dribbled over prosciutto, figs, local honey and crackers, amazing olives, cauliflower and peppers, strawberries and blueberries, various cheeses- so much variety! They have an entire section of specialty non-alcoholic drinks, which was amazing for those in our group who didn’t drink alcohol. Mocktails, non-alcoholic brews, and natural wines with the alcohol removed. We tried the Utah chocolate flight- it has world famous local Utah chocolates to sample that were rich, delicious, and surprisingly diverse. The bathroom was beautiful and clean. This has a fun, relaxed, elevated atmosphere.

I recently hosted my boyfriend’s birthday party in The Cellar at The Tasting Room, and it was truly the most wonderful experience from start to finish. The team was incredibly accommodating and made the whole process so smooth and enjoyable. We ordered a variety of bites for the group—each one was absolutely delicious—and the drink selection was perfect for our crowd. There was truly something for everyone! The space itself was cozy and intimate, and the staff went above and beyond—friendly, fun, and so helpful throughout the evening. Everyone in our group raved about how great the night was, and we’re already talking about going back. I can’t wait to return to explore more of their wine flights, cocktails, and bites. Thank you to The Tasting Room team for helping create such a special night!

Let me preface this negative experience by stating that it’s solely for their Valentines prix fixe menu at $110 per person + 20% automatic gratuity.

Food/Wine: Simply put it, the food and wine pairings were NOT good. At almost $300 for two, there was a certain baseline expectation that I think any person would have. My husband and I are by no means picky eater, we eat everything from McDonalds to omakase. Yet the food/wine (and bad presentation) left us quite apalled given the high ratings this restaurant has.

Service: This isn’t reflective of all the waitstaff as I’m sure most are good at what they do. However, our particular waitress was struggling due to the large number of guests for Valentines Day so it was extra busy or she was new or maybe both. There were instances where 1) she placed dishes on the table so hurriedly that it threw food items to the side of plates, 2) she didn’t really know what she was serving when we asked, 3) she poured wrong wines for wrong courses such as dessert wine during 2nd app, 4) wine pours between my husband and I had a 25% difference. We were not expecting Michelin star service (or food for that matter), but again at the price we paid, there should be a minimal standard for service.

The free rose at the end was a nice touch though. I would come back here for no frill wine and charcuterie, but overall felt pretty robbed by their prix...

Delicious. Downtown meets elegant atmosphere. High end quality food at reasonable prices. Vast drink selection.

Exactly what you are looking for in your next Date Night, Girl’s Night, Friend Get Together!

We loved The Tasting Room. This is a wine bar and we don’t drink alcohol. It was fabulous. Great selection of drinks for us to choose from including mocktails, non alcoholic wines, beers and more. Get the Waterfront Chardonnay non-alcoholic for its buttery aftertaste.

Unique and perfectly paired with exactly as it should be local charcuterie board. Truffle deviled eggs we all want to just be in our fridges for late night snacking. Olive oil cake was light and good.

MVP of the night was the Chocolate Hazelnut Tart. I am a chocolate dessert snob and this was hitting all the flavor and texture notes. Didn’t want to share this one:).

Elegant spectacle foods too- the beef tallow we will be ordering next time. It looked glamorous. A billow of smoke escaped from under a glass cover to reveal the smoked caviar buckwheat waffle whiskey cream. If I’m not ordering it, I hope someone will.

Joshua our server was on point, kind and helpful. Ryan the owner was passionate and knowledgeable about food and wine and you feel taken care of at his...
