We originally went to Van Ryder. The views are incredible, but we decided to dine downstairs at Adelaides. Wow! đđđđđ A Delightful Surprise: Adelaide at Le MĂ©ridien
I must admit, hotel restaurants often leave me feeling underwhelmed. But Adelaide is a refreshing exception! Stepping into the restaurant is like being transported to the French Quarter of New Orleans, perfectly complementing the West Quarter's jazz theme. Chef Jackie Siao, a culinary star who formerly graced prestigious 5 Star JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton resorts, is a fantastic addition to downtown Salt Lake City. She even stopped by our table, and her enthusiasm for food was contagious!
Must-Try Dishes:
Appetizers:
Fried Oysters with Caviar: The clear winner of the night.
Shrimp with Peppers in Cream Sauce: A decadent and flavorful choice.
Mains:
Shrimp with white cheddar grits: Melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness.
Arugula & Fennel
Citrus supreme, granny smith apple, toasted almond, chevre, craisin, white balsamic vinaigrette. (ChĂšvre Goat Cheese. The spanish triple creme goat brie compliments the Salad.)
Dinner: Fully Prime Filet Mignon
jalapeño bourbon butter, charred leeks, fricassee of mushrooms, demi. (PRO TIP: Add lump Crab meat and a balsalmic reduction glaze!)
Desserts:
Bread Pudding: This might sound like a basic choice, but Chef Jackie's version was a revelation. Butter Croissants are the secret incredient to this âslap yo mamaâ dessert that took it to another level.
Overall Impression:
Adelaide is a fantastic addition to Salt Lake City's dining scene. The atmosphere is lively, the food is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, and should be highly considered for one's dining choice!

Read moreBeautiful venue for a lounge. Very popular demand. You need to have a reservation to attendâalso donât be late! Service wiseâIt was a little rough tonight. We were seated and not attended to for thirty minutes. After asking the host for a server to be able to order, we had a very nice server. She took our drink orders and food. After about twenty minutes, our food arrived with one dish missing. We didnât get our drinks though and two people in our party didnât have waters. The server came back and asked us if we wanted another round, but I had to let her know we never got our drinks. She looked surprised. Iâm not sure if she forgot to put it in, but the table behind us came after us and got their drinks before us. She did reassure us that she wasnât sure what happened to the order, but she gave us them free of charge because of the wait. Server was very friendly and obviously very busy. Atmosphere and food were really good. The price isnât too bad. The food are small plate sharables. We ordered the brussel sprouts and the on the stick. Which is a wagyu skewer. Both were very good! Cute venue for dates and celebrations. Music tonight was really good. A mix of throw backs and modern music. Since they are so busy and itâs relatively newâIâll come back. They obviously care about their service and are trying to give a very good quality experience for the time youâre here. Two hour max since they are so busy. After we finally got our drinks, they were pretty good. The dirty martiniâs ratio was a little offâbut still tasty. Took a while to get the bill, so I had to walk up to the server and give her my card. Hostess was very...
