Worst experience ever at any eatery. It was a friend of ours birthday. He wanted to go to his favorite place Chama Gaucha. I suggested he try something different and one of my favorite spots Texas de Brazil. We arrived and were promptly sat within 10 minutes. Our waiter asked our party of six if we had dined before. Our friends said no. He explained how it works so fast we honestly did not understand a word he said. It was very busy, so we understood. I asked for a wine menu. The waiter's attention was clearly focused on a much larger table of 26. While facing the other party he handed me the wine menu, releasing it before I had a chance to grab it. It fell to the table rattling silver ware. The entire room turned our way. The waiter did not apologize or seemed bothered by this. He was clearly in a rush. I picked up the wine menu and handed it back to him and said never mind. He then said, well if you want wine I could recommend a something. I said no, went up to the hostess and asked for a different waiter and a wine menu. Forty-five minutes later, no waiter, no menu, I asked a gentleman that was helping with the large party if he could please find our waiter and send him over with sides. He snapped and me and said you need to understand we are very busy and trying our best. I said sure, if you could send a waiter our way that would be great. Shortly after, the manager comes and said he will be sending a waiter over. About another ten minutes later a waiter arrives with two cocktails on the house. This waiter was very friendly and went out of his way to serve our table while waiting on other tables in a far off section. About little over an hour after eating all meat, sides were brought to our table. At this point, things seemed to be going better thanks to our new waiter. Towards the end of our meal he came and offered us to see the dessert tray. We said yes and also asked for more bread and drinks. Thirty minutes went by, the waiter came and asked if everything was going well. We reminded him of our drink and bread order. He apologized, stating he forgot. He promptly brought bread and one cocktail on the house. We asked to see the dessert tray, He said sure. HE LEFT AND NEVER CAME BACK! NO ONE CAME BACK! After 30 minutes we asked the hostess for the manager. He came to our table and said our waiter had an emergency with his wife and had to leave. (Really hope everything is ok.) The manager offered to bring a dessert tray which we declined and asked for the bill. He left and after another 30minutes came back and asked if anyone had brought us out check. He left and returned with our check. The manager never took the time from beginning to end to ask what the issues were. The manager went and shook hands with the head of the party of 26 while he cashed him out. Honestly, I was embarrassed and disappointed I had recommended this place, as my friend had wanted to go to a different establishment. The complimentary drinks were fine, but not necessary. I would have rather had sincere conversation with the manager or wait staff. I will not be going back or recommending this place. This is not out of anger, but more...
Read moreThis review is for 25Dec2021. As a local guide, I visit many places and submit reviews. I read the reviews and found some of the comments were accurate and valid. This location was definitely a departure from performance and protocol that we were accustomed to at the other Texas de Brazil restaurant that we frequently visit.
We made plans to eat here for Christmas day after we found this location open for dinner and it was close to the military base. This location does not have a dedicated parking lot, but there is a public parking lot adjacent to the structure. There is no handicap parking available here nor automatically opening or powered doors.
We arrived at this location early for a 3:30pm appointment and we were told we would have to wait until we were closer to our appointment time. I went to the restroom and I saw that it was quite a mess with paper, water and other things on the floor and on the sink. My spouse visited the other restroom and found a similar mess. I sat out in the front lobby area waiting for our seat to be ready for us to sit and be served. We were called (15) minutes early. We were seated and waited for the server. The server came over and introduced himself and invited us to get our salad at the bar. There were available gloves and hand sanitizer for customer use. I noted that there was no rice at the bar. Everything else appeared to be freshly cut and laid out well. We got our plates and we sat down at the table to wait for the meat varieties to be brought to the table. I had to ask for the meats to be served immediately as he inquired if I was finished with my salad. I promptly said it's for consumption with my meal. No it's not salad. No, you can not take my plate. He set down the "meat" plates at our table, but I still had to call one of the meat servers into the room to get served. My spouse waited for 20 minutes for parmesan chicken. When she finally got it, it was not hot. My spouse still had to wait once again for chicken to come around. I also waited for other meat varieties, but on several occasions the servers bypassed the table after serving a table right next to us. This whole setup was intensely frustrating. This is a failure by this management team to ensure that the meat selection is being moved throught-out the restaurant in a timely fashion once off the grill. Where were the meat servers? Why weren't they in this side room serving our table. I did make a comment to our specific meal server, to which he responded. They have other tables they need to get to also. One of the meat servers was verbally advised that my spouse doesn't eat pork or beef, but he promptly offered her the flank steak. She declined. We ordered the strawberry lemonade which was great...
Read moreCame to this location to celebrate my son’s birthday.
The nice hostess took us to our table 2 mins in. Then the carnival of deception began.
My youngest son and I weren’t hungry enough to go for the meats, so we decided to go for the buffet and let my oldest one to get the meats.
We sat at our table for 15 mins, waiters came by to other tables and did not acknowledge us at all. We were thirsty, and nothing was offered. So I told the boys, let’s get something from the buffet, and hopefully when we come back we’ll have water and their famous pandebonos (brazillian cheese bread)…
The buffet food looked great… the only good things were the beans and the rice… the salmon was not fresh, and was dry (stale 😖), the salads of whatever were so gross, the cheese used tasted horrible…
Came back to the table to eat what looked great but wasn’t (see above), and there was a huge table behind ours being taken care of. We sat here for 30 mins: no drinks, no water no hi, hello, ola, boa noite… nooothing.
Went to the hostess and explained our situation. At this point, I expect a manager to take ownership, but nope, our waiter arrived. J saved the night, because I was ready to leave. Mind you that the meat guys have not even come to our table (there was only one green tab on the table).
J apologized and said that he did not know we were his table. He came back aaaaall by himself (not even the manager helped him!) with waters, pandebonos, and whatever we were missing…
They truly miss a huuuge part in doing teamwork… the meat rounds finally arrived, and their attitudes were soooo awful, like they did not want to be there.
Then the manager came later to say that it was Js fault that we were not taking care of properly 😑 Maaaa’am! Take ownership! It’s your boat! I told her: I don’t care who’s table we belong to, anyone could’ve acknowledged us and we weren’t (45 mins!), the way one staff behaves says a lot about their leader…
Theeeen, 10 mins before we were about to leave, a waitress that I saw cleaning and taking care of the tables around me, had the nerve to stop by to tell me: hey I just wanted to say that it’s not my fault that you didn’t have water to drink, because you were not my table 🫠 I told her you can leave as we’re not your table.
The manager said that she was going to give us a discount which she did not. Instead tried to charge me for 2 meat dinners, no discount to be seen. Sent the receipt back and got the correct one, still no discounts.
Nothing compared to the location in Houston. This was a huuuuge disappointment, especially on my...
