My Partner and I went for Easter Brunch on 3.31.24. I was so excited because it was the 1st time in 14 years that I wasn't hosting or going to a family dinner for Easter. I even made reservations a month and a half early. So the big day arrives and I'm wearing my dress I bought just for this event. It starts out well enough. We are seated at a table for 4. Then a few minutes after we are seated, we ask for a waitress so we can order some drinks. Then a few minutes later they ask us if we can move to a smaller table. Ok... We move because we think that they have some people coming who need that space. There were around 3 tables that seat 4 that were never occupied the whole hour we were there. Not sure what that was about. Then the table we were re seated at had this huge wheel chair taking up the whole side of the table. It was a small table. It didn't belong to anyone that we were aware of. None of the staff mentioned anything. One of the waitresses did say oh, no it can stay there without any further explanation. My Partner asked if it could be removed from the table. The manager and others had a conversation about it while looking over at the table. It was very uncomfortable. My Partner wasn't rude when asking for it to be removed. I guess they thought they were rude because that set the tone for the whole meal. Please correct me if I'm wrong but you are supposed to get a clean plate each time you visit the buffet right? The plates were big and there wasn't room for more than 2 plates at a time. For example, if you have your main course and then are ready for dessert, there's room for another plate. Nobody comes by to pick it up. You have to ask, it was pretty awkward. The tip was already included for the meal so in no way were they going to be cheated out of it. My Partner ordered a drink also and tipped on that. The food was ok and they did their best to keep it stocked. Overall, I'm trying to focus on the positive experience that I had being with my Partner. If we decide to have Easter Brunch somewhere next year, we might try...
Read moreI was looking forward to having a great dinner on 5/29 after a long flight. I was told at the checkin desk that the ribeye at Tributary ( the hotel restaurant) is highly recommended after asking for a dinner recommendation. I was also told it was open seating and to just sit and someone would attend to you. I am dressed in a suit and sat down in the middle of the seating area. For over 20MINS and no one came to greet me, hand me a menu or a glass of water, or say hello. I watched as other groups came and sat very close to me and got attention immediately! The groups got menus, were served drinks, and even food. Finally frustrated, I got the attention of an attendant and asked am I invisible or do you see me. It was only then that another attendant was called over offfering a menu. At this time I didn't feel like spending my money at this restaurant because of the treatment or should I say lack of it. I left and went to Fogo de Chao where they had a $47 special that included all the different meat and their famous salad bar. Had a great time. So to the Tributary front staff and managemeny, teach your attendants to pay attention to individuals as well as groups who sit down to have a meal or else DO AWAY with your open seating policy. Or...

Completely unorganized! We showed up for a party of 15 (truly embarrassed!) they know exactly who this is btw !
They were scrambling to organize a table for us! It wasn’t working out for them, so they ended up separating the party: half on a high top table half on a regular table.
Sure they took care of two appetizers to try and make up for it! But it was still an awful experience!
The hightop (half of the party) got their food before the lower half
They forgot an entree for one of our guest!
Service was poor! The food was distasteful!
Everything was out of control! They truly ruined my sister in laws birthday!!
WE WILL NEVER EVER RETURN’ is the place sucks the which leads me to believe the hotel must too!
If you come to San Antonio, you stay away from this place and from the Marriott at...
