My office got a gift card from a customer for this place. So I called in my order. Went to pick it up and the total was $75 for 5 plates. So I had to wait 15 minutes for them to call some other place to run the gift card. While I was waiting I grabbed a menu. The prices are very high and when I did the math I went to $110 for 5 plates. I thought maybe they forgot one. So I asked this is for 5 plates. Eduardo says yes. Okay. They bring out my order it’s five containers. I head back to work and we start opening up the containers. In each container is a small skewer of meat and about two cups of rice. That’s it. Mind you I got five small skewers and what 10 cups of rice for $75 bucks!!! I called spoke to Eduardo. He yells over and over “I know what you ordered “ “you’re wrong I know what you ordered “. I asked if he could make it better that this order wasn’t right on his part plus very expensive. He said if I wanted salad and bread and the roasted tomato it was going to be another $27. I just hung up. I’m writing this review because of the price. Lack of customer service. The meat was dry and way too small of a portion. I’ll stick to LunaGrill. Unfortunately for Eduardo I know the owner of the business so I plan on...
Read moreAll six dishes we ordered were wonderful. The taste and texture was exactly to my liking, none spicy hot, just grilled enough to bring out the natural flavors and optimal texture. The Tahini sauce is wonderful. I really enjoyed the falafel and their sauce. There was another, chunky sauce with a slightly smoky flavor, but I have forgotten the name; starts with a B. The older gentleman who spoke with us was very helpful and sincere. I also love eating outside because the weather was perfect. However, I am really glad he provided place mats because the table didn't feel perfectly clean. Also, the restroom looked like it was recently remodeled with quality, upscale tile and other materials. The builders did an excellent job because the grout lines looked flawless. However, I was there around 6pm and it could have used a cleaning. Probably a symptom of having a constant stream of happy customers. Even a firetruck pulled up to pick up a stack of...
Read moreBest place for Mediterranean food in town, and being that it's in La Jolla, almost guarantees a nice cool coastal temperature. Always fresh, always delicious. I've been a patron since 2001; my wife loves this place and will never hesitate to make the drive from Lemon Grove for their chicken skewers plate or Greek salad. May I suggest a personal favorite? Tony's special! I also highly recommend their salmon bowls.
Our last visit, just 2 days ago, was to the Carmel Valley location and they impressively manage to consistently deliver the same delicious culinary experience. The same can also be said for the Mira...
