02/29/24==Vanessa What a jewel of a Service Specialist you were as I wrapped up my B-Day month of dining, and ELATED again I left. Your quality care and the attention to detail just kept getting better. Kelsi set the bar to the peak and you just added bling to it!!! RIBS-Perfecto, Eggplant-Perfecto, and the please just make the coleslaw a side…I would pay for it😊
This time the dessert was a monster surprise...mouthwatering TREAT==OH MY WORD the flourless chocolate cake melted in my mouth with such excitement. Rich/creamy it was…homemade in-house/SCRATCH kitchen of excellence, and different from the layered cake I would normally order as my reward b-day perk. Thank you for another wonderful PF Chang's-Fashion Valley experience...make reservations prior to just showing up to avoid the wait of waits--Yes, I always do that, and join the rewards club!
Thank you, Chefs, VANESSA/team for caring for me on another self-love solo night, the hostesses for the card and wonderful seating as usual. Don't change a thing...I'm in for the long haul, and now with more treats on deck. My spouse does the Sea Bass, but for me it’s the consistency/quality that just makes me feel like a VIP even in my own little savory world when it’s Time2Dine--YUM!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This review took a while, but it holds true for the food journey I've embarked on since. Kelsi oh Kelsi...how YOUR genuine approach to serving touched me!!! As we know whether it's the case of the Monday return to the grind or just life. Self-reflection in something one enjoys is of the most important...I've learned that I MUST take it as the demands on my time grows with no additional seconds added to my 24hr-time pieces. I ENJOY EATING/Dining WELL…as best I can and when my reasonable expectations are met with success/done right it I JUST FEEL SO GREAT INSIDE!!!
Service that makes you want to give more than the "New Gratuity" scale of 20% and up is exactly what I left feeling like on 01/23/24 when dining at PF Chang's Fashion Valley!!! My Service Specialist was Kelsi...just attentive from the start and there was never a NO can do. For restaurants I frequent...reward member with PFC-FV for over 2-decades I've been served, but now in 2024 it matters more to me, so I share. Doing reviews of perishable and non-perishable goods and services…You2ndThat is committed to keeping them ALL honest, and expressing more Good-to-GREAT as possible because not all are walking the talk while happily taking us to the bank as if they’re doing me/us a favor.
My request off the top, hot water, and water no ice. Check...then I asked for the wonton strips with my entrees as I knew what I wanted along with an extra side of the spicy coleslaw that comes with the Louisiana ribs. That is some of the best coleslaw I have had...wonderful twist and it has heat. The right amount for the dish. CHECK and double check as Kelsi just served me with patience/class…GENUINE CARE and the experience led to being my benchmark going forward as I floated my palate around San Diego with options. My iPhone keyboard shortcut for Time2Dine=Yum, and my home PF Chang’s-Fashion Valley hit it out of the park…to where I just think this chain has multiple recipes as to how to treat its customers!
Some may not appreciate a from SCRATCH kitchen, but you can or rather should be able to tell the difference in my laywomen's opinion. So, I must say TWO HATS OFF TO THE CHEFS who prepared my entrées that night. The ribs were delicious...meat fell off the bone leading me to eat as I do from end to end--YUM! My signature Eggplant with Broccoli added, and extra sauce and Singapore Street noodles were made with LOVE of craft. The food and experience were perfect which is why I had to share my appreciation to Kelsi, for making my self-love Time2Dine night one to remember!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH to all who play apart...hostess team who sat me though solo in a booth to house all of my items without making a fuss about it. Just an...

Went here for dinner with friends after having had really nice experiences at other locations I've tried. Firstly, the restroom was very poorly maintained. We could smell the bad odor quite a few feet away, not something that would be expected from such a reputed chain.
The service was also quite terrible. The food took forever to come out, and the server did not even fulfill the order right. I asked for the sauce on the side for my dish, and had to walk up to the host and ask them to get it. I still had to wait 5 minutes after the entree for that sauce to come, within which the food had already gotten cold. I also requested for some olive oil on the side, and they had none, which they told me when getting the sauce. So I had to wait another 3-4 minutes until they could get me butter instead. One of my friends was never asked what rice she wanted with her entree, and hence never received it. She had to wait till the server came with my sauce to place that order, and then longer for it to come. Food cold again.
In terms of the actual menu items, we got the dynamite shrimp appetizer, which was just as expected, so plus points for that. None of the entrees lived up though. I got the Buddha's Feast (steamed) and it was essentially a bunch of steamed veggies with a bad sauce. The tofu was supposed to be cooked with five-spice seasoning, but I'm pretty sure it was just plain steamed tofu. No taste at all. The sauce was also terrible. Had no flavor at all. So my dinner was essentially cold, buttered veggies. Some undercooked. One of friends got the Chang's Chicken, which he said was just okay. The other one got the Ginger Chicken, which was a total letdown. It was basically boiled chicken and broccoli with sauce poured over. She was expecting a good garlic ginger flavor as was described, but there was none. The chicken was also tasteless since it was cooked separately and not with the sauce itself. She tried adding crushed red peppers to it, but it didn't help. Another bad dish.
Did not have a good experience at all. Will probably not be going to this...
Read moreI’ve been at the Otay Ranch location almost 10 years ago. In the several times I’ve been there, my dining experience was usually favorable.
I wanted to try out the P.F. Chang’s in Fashion Valley. It was my first time. Last Friday 27th, I had met up with a couple friends that were visiting from out of town. Although it was approximately a 16 mile drive from my house, I figured Fashion Valley location would be the most centrally located to have drinks and food.
Upon arrival, the restaurant iwas packed at 530pm. Prime time. If I recall, all dining tables were taken expect at the bar area, where four seats were visibly empty. So the choice was to either wait 40 minutes for a table or sit at the bar. Well, the bar it was and glad we did.
Bar menu had the best deals. All day everyday $10 - loved it! We tried all the appetizers. Delicious! We even had double servings of lettuce wraps because it was so good. Never disappoints. Only thing for me, lettuce was not offered. Instead, it was romaine. Nonetheless, wraps were still good.
Drinks were perfect. No complaints
There were several bartenders on shift that evening. Initially, we wKere happily greeted by a gentleman. Friendly and never saw him again. We then had a female bartender. Not as friendly and very bland. She wasn’t terrible, just a dud.
We were tapped out from all the appetizers…it was our cue to go. Absolutely, had a wonderful time with my friends at P.F. Chang’s. It was definitely a perfect place to meet up, have drinks and eat.
Hostesses said their goodbyes and off we went.
Highly...
