Riptides PB — Restaurant in San Diego

I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience at Riptides Bar and Grill was so awful I feel obligated. The staff were shockingly rude from the moment I walked in — no greeting, no smile, just pure attitude. It felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there.

They clearly have no sense of customer service or respect. I asked a simple question about the menu and got eye rolls and sarcasm. The energy in this place is toxic — like they’re doing you a favor by letting you eat there.

I didn’t even stick around for the food. I’d rather eat a gas station sandwich in peace than deal with that kind of treatment again.

The greatest vibe from walking in, socializing with drinks, eating food that simply melts you with incredible succulent flavor, shooting pool, playing tunes remotely from my phone with AMI on the Jukebox, to saying goodbyes. Lyfts or Uber is available with the drive loop driveway right at the venues doorstep. Absolutely love the renovations done, the multicolor palate used to revive the place, is all good mood lifting shades. Beach vibes are heavy for sure. Wow! The food is amazing here. Learned about Riptides during the Taste of PB event. Returned for the Birria tacos. They were even better than the TofPB. She got the Cubano. I'm typically not a huge fan of Cubano sandwiches but it was amazing as well.
