I donât recommend this place to anyone. Iâve worked here so all of this is coming from a full time employee. First off the first reason you shouldnât come here is itâs INFESTED with RATS. Iâve had multiple times where rats have ran under my customers table without them noticing. I told the owner and they donât care. Every day there are rats caught in traps in various places INSIDE the restaurant. The owner is skimming tips from their employees & is making 1 person do the job of server, busser, food prep, & host. They are slaving employees away. Donât even get me started on the employees that donât have work permits or papers. Theyâre taking advantage of all employees and treating them poorly. The food here is all nasty and old. The plates and silverware are from 14-15 years ago!! They donât even clean them properly. Youâre getting saliva from customers on the same forks and knives and spoons they use. They re use the same food for other customers and they never throw anything away. They are serving bad old food. This restaurant needs to go out of business. This is ran by 2 conservative old person people that do not care about their employees. This restaurant shouldnât be standing. If the health department of San Diego would go inside and just do a check up theyâd be closed. Their fire extinguishers are expired from 2010. This isnât a restaurant. This is an unjust racist business thatâs feeding Americans rotten food. The rats and safety hazards are just a cherry on top. Please do not support this restaurant if you...

Sadaf Restaurant in San Diego is a gem for Persian cuisine lovers. Their food is exceptionalâevery dish is bursting with authentic flavors and crafted with care. One of the highlights is their ability to customize your order to suit your preferences, ensuring every bite is exactly to your liking. We tried Soltani, beef and chicken were so juicy and tasteful that we were in awe. Lamb was cooked to perfection and took our taste buds for joy ride.
What sets Sadaf apart is the warm, family-owned atmosphere. It is ran by Ismail and Zahra who look over the operation and genuinely cares about their customers, making you feel welcome and appreciated from the moment you walk in. Ismail is a true globetrotter who has worked in Italy and several other countries. Donây forget to have conversation with him about his adventures.
Zahra adds a special charm to the dining experience. Not only does she bring a world of culinary expertise to the table, but she also shares fascinating stories about her travel as a stewardess, and how she perfected the art of Persian cuisine by learning from the best chefs.
If youâre in San Diego and looking for a place that combines outstanding food with heartfelt hospitality, Sadaf is the place to go.

I had high hopes for Sadaf Persian Restaurant in San Diego, but unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst Persian restaurants Iâve been to.
đ˝ď¸ The Food: 1/5 Barg (skewered beef) was tough, chewy, and nothing like what I expect from a well-cooked Persian dish. It was incredibly disappointing. The chicken was dry and overcooked, lacking any flavor or juiciness. Very underwhelming for the price you pay. Thereâs far better Persian food in the area. đĄ The Setting: 2/5 The restaurantâs atmosphere was fineânothing special but not bad either. Just your standard Persian restaurant decor, though it didnât feel welcoming or warm. đď¸ The Service: 2/5 The service was okay, but it didnât make up for the poor food quality. It didnât feel like a place where youâre getting the level of hospitality youâd expect from a well-regarded Persian restaurant. đ° The Verdict: Wouldnât Come Back â Terrible food quality, especially for the price â Dry, overcooked chicken and chewy barg â Better Persian food elsewhere in San Diego
I wonât be returning to Sadaf. Itâs a disappointing experience, and I wouldnât recommend it to anyone. If youâre craving good Persian food, skip this place and go...
