TERRIBLE FOOD, TERRIBLE SERVICE AND VERY BAD ATTITUDE!!!
Went here for dinner during our San Diego visit after being tired from a daylong outing.
Found it extremely bad on food quality and customer service. The waitress was terrible at service and was very very rude. She forgot the drink that we ordered ( was supposed to come before the meal) , when the food arrived and we politely asked it to be cancelled as it was too late we were just told "okay"- with no concern at all.
Food tasted horrible and we had to wait for minutes to get their attention to bring us some salt-note that the place was not so busy, there were not more than 5 tables occupied.
Midway through our meal we thought of trying a different curry as the ones we were eating tasted really bad and we were too tired to go to another place and start dinner all over again. They made us wait for more than 20 minutes (i mean it, 20 minutes) only to come back and ask if we were ready for the cheque... seriously ???? I reminder her that we were waiting for the second part of order and for that she said " oh , yes you ordered more. We are currently busy and it will come whenever it is ready".. woww, couldn't believe what i heard "whenever it is ready??". We had made our mind to finish the meal and never come back to this place again- but seems the evening wasn't bound to end so easily.
After another 10 minutes of wait she got us butter rotis, we had to remind her again that we had ordered without butter- same as our first order. Again her reaction was really bad, just picked up the tray, said "alright" and left. Worst part is yet to come - instead of doing new rotis they brought the same rotis back after socking the butter with a paper napkin or something. This was for the first time when i complained but it fell on deaf ears.
Finally, she got us the check which billed for the drink that we never got. I requested to talk to the manager at this point on which she said "absolutely you can, he is busy right and will talk to you whenever he is free"
After 10 more minutes ( by now we had spent 1hr 30 minutes in the restaurant) we got the manager and i had to tell him the whole story. The manger showed some concern but only after we stressed that this is not the kind of service anyone expects..
About food- it tasted really bad, definitely not worth trying even for take out- would rather grab a sandwich from subway!! Registered this as my worst...
Read moreI can’t comment on the quality of food as we did not eat there, but if there ever was an award for the rudest customer service then this restaurant would be very well deserving of that. I wish I could not give it a single star. My husband and I visited this place sometime back. It was a Sunday night. The restaurant had two or three vacant tables. We stood there for a while and no one acknowledged. Finally, a man who seemed to be the owner saw us and came over—all the while he was shaking his head as though we had done something wrong by even entering the restaurant. My husband and I looked at each other wondering what was wrong. We asked for a table for two. Despite having empty tables inside the restaurant, the man rudely pointed at the empty and dusty patio outside. He simply pointed towards that and left. The patio was cold, dirty and there was no heating. We stood around for a while in shock while he attended other tables. After he was done, we tried to go up and talk to him but he saw us and turned his face away. The message was loud and clear. He simply did not want us there. We were so shocked we walked out immediately. He saw us walk out and did not even bother to ask why. In all the times that I have eaten out, never have I experienced such pathetic and rude service. My message to the owner, if you don’t like talking to people and being respectful then you are in the wrong industry. If you don’t respect customers, they won’t respect you—there are many better options out there where people do really like their jobs. We ate pizza next door instead at Pizza@5th, very friendly service and...
Read moreNot a Black woman friendly restaurant. Upon walking up to the restaurant the Greeter/Barker/ Waiter asked me what it is that I wanted. I stated I wanted food, I thought that would be evident since I was attempting to enter a restaurant . I ordered my food and sat down. A white couple comes in and I am asked to move from where I’m sitting to accommodate them in a completely empty restaurant. I’m addition, they were not asked what it is they wanted. It was evident that they wanted food because they came to a restaurant. Another party or two entered and was sat with no issue even though I was told that the previous party of two NEEDED my table. I looked around and there were three tables suitable for a party of two inside the restaurant and additional tables for two located outside the restaurant . Mango lassi was average at best. My cup felt kind of cold but the lassi itself was room temperature and was more tart than I’ve had in the past. The garlic naan was average garlic naan. Surprisingly, the lamb burger was really good and seasoned very well. I enjoyed it. I wish I wouldn’t have tipped because service...
