Wendy's — Restaurant in San Diego

10/11 update: Don't even bother with this location. I originally gave this location a harsh review, so to be fair I tried to give it a second try, but it was even worse than the first time. This location really does not have its act together. I waited atleast 5 minutes as the only person in line before anyone even acknowledged me and they weren't even that busy. Once the woman came to the counter, I ordered the new (it just came out 2 days ago) "Krabby Patty" meal, but the woman told me they don't have the frosty flavor. How can you be out of something that quickly. And to make matters worse, it wasn't even the pineapple flavoring they were out of it was just the vanilla soft serve so this was essentially incompetence on management to keep the restaurant properly stocked. What a terribly run establishment. They had a sign that said due to the popularity of the meal certain items were out, but let's be real, running out of vanilla soft serve is not due to this new meal, its failure of management to keep the store properly stocked. The burger was well made and tasted good, which is why I gave the second star, but overall it was very disappointing. Management should be replaced at this location.

Original post: I like to start with the good in that the food tasted good. That said, I dont think they could have messed up any more on my order. I ordered a baconator and got a different burger and I ordered a 6pc nugget and got a 4 pice nugget even though they charged me for 6. The workers seemingly had no idea what was going on. If I was a manager I would have been...

I love Wendy's; their food is excellent and actually tastes pretty fresh - which is particularly welcoming for a fast food chain. Unfortunately this location doesn't match the quality of the food they serve.

As of writing this I've had my order messed up 4 times, as in missing one of my sandwiches or sides. It's been a habit to check the bag immediately now every time i pick up food so that I don't need to make a trip back. This time they forgot one of the burgers. I'm not sure why it seems to be a continual habit to forget items in their orders; that's kind of the bare minimum needed to be a fast food chain, but it keeps happening. I've almost never had this happen at any other chain or restaurant; which is why this is so frustrating. (Almost) Nothing worse than getting home to find a key item missing and having to debate if you need to go back or not. Also, when I go back to get my missing item they don't even do anything to make up for the time and frustration of having to come back.

That said, I love Wendy's and outside of missing items there hasn't been an issue with the food so I'll probably be back again, I just will always have to double check their work every time. I am just disappointed in their service and (call me entitled if you must) wish they'd at least toss in something extra as an apology or comp for having to come back for a missing...

I generally like Wendy's, which is why I gave this place's so many shots at not screwing up my order. However, they have proven time and time again that the dumbest people on earth work here and cannot do their jobs. I advise everyone do not leave until checking your order is correct. Even after being held hostage in their drive-through for almost an hour after making my app order, they still found a way to screw up everything. The lady at the window could not understand the name on my order, which wasn't difficult (CR mobile) and literally gave me all of her tickets to see which one was mine... and still didn't get it right. Even after showing her my ticket, she guessed wrong and gave me the wrong order, probably to get me to leave. Of course I figured out my order was wrong shortly after that and had to go back to the restaurant and get it fixed. She somehow got it right the second time, and in record time, because she had an angry customer. This is one of many reasons why these dummies should not be making $20/ hour. I doubt they even went positive in the almost hour that I was there because of how slow and screwed up they were. I'm never going back to...
