McDonald's — Restaurant in San Dimas

McDonald's let me place a mobile order at just before 9:00 and when I got over there they were closed! In this day and age you think that if a 24 hours McDonald's was going to be closed on New Year's Eve that the app would tell you so and wouldn't let you place an order! Had I known they were going to be closed I wouldn't have gotten dressed and left the house since I'm 80 years old and it was raining! This McDonald's has still not opened up their self-service drink area and you have to throw away your cup and go to the counter and ask for a refill so it's trash going into the landfill that doesn't need to be going there! When I zero out my points I will not be returning to McDonald's again this owner owns one on arrow highway in Covina and one on Alaosta and Azusa. I've called to ask why they're self-service drinks are not available like everybody else in the area they're competitors El Pollo Loco Boston market habit Burger AMC theaters In-N-Out Burger all have self-service fountain open for the public! Today I heard on the news at McDonald's is going to get rid of their self-service drink bar and may charge you for refills. Today is May 31st 2024. If this happens I will never return to McDonald's again! They say their reason is for consistency but the real reason is to put a few more pennies in their pocket! Remember last summer you could get any drink for a dollar. Now they're special for a large drink is $1.49! Check out the new McDonald's straws they're so thin they bend when you try to push it through the cap of a large drink. When you order online they have straws as an option but it doesn't say anything about napkins. Today July 2nd 2024 I got a large fry and a drink the inside the restaurant closes at 10:00 now so I pulled over to eat my fries and they hadn't given me any napkins! On the mobile order it didn't offer me a place to say yes or no for napkins!😩👎😩👎 Napkins should be given with every order of fries and if they're not going to give you napkins they should ask if you're not getting fries but to not give vacuums when you're ordering food is ridiculous especially when there's no place on the mobile app to ask for napkins as there is with other fast food...

Horrible experience. I went through the Drive-Thru and they said they were only accepting cash which is fine I get that sometimes the machines can go down but write it down somewhere so people don't go in and get stuck in the drive thru. Second when I went to pay for the food they would not accept the McDonald's app coupon and the excuse was the machine was down. Fine I get it but customer service should be something standard right? Maybe just adjust the price? It was only 4 dollars but I let it go. Then when I handed them my money and the employee handed me my change back he did not give me a receipt. I then asked him for one and he denied me the receipt because the system was down. When I asked to speak to the manager they denied to speak to me and said they could write the order for me so I agreed but asked them to write the managers name on the bottom. As you can see in the picture which is not a legal receipt all they would give me was her first name and when I asked for he last name they yelled at me saying no they can't and threw the receipt at me. I will never be back, they always burn my food. They say they cook everything by timer, I said yeah cook it for the time you're supposed to so it's not undercooked... sure. But once the timer goes off don't leave it in and forget about it, I've witnessed this too many times.The managers or 'managers' I should say, I suspect it's just regular employees playing manager and not actually getting me one. Either that or they hire extremely irresponsible, rude people to manage their restaurants. It's always filthy, no clean tables, no clean high chairs, the bathrooms are like those dirty truck stop bathrooms on the side of the road that you have no choice but to use while on a long road trip. Wouldn't let my child go in the playground after seeing how gross the restaurant is I could imagine what that looks like on the inside. This McDonald's does not belong in San Dimas, it's completely out of place. This is such a horrible reflection on the district manager that is clearly not doing their job and keeping this place in line, but I contacted corporate and they should be getting a ear full soon.
