You can never and I repeat never say too many good things about Empire Pizza. In a way I am not even ready to write this review because I feel there is nothing I can say that can truly describe the depth of Empire Pizza's sheer beauty, integrity and strength as the reigning defending best place to get New York Style Pizza in San Francisco. This place opened in August, I believe on 8/8 or around it at the very least.
To my knowledge I am one of their first customers and was the first one to achieve 100 points in their reward system. I have had conversations with the owners, operators and workers of this place. I have been introduced to significant figures at this establishment, standing and shaking hands and getting to know to a degree the minds and method behind this place and all I can say is... San Francisco, you are truly now actually worthy of being called a Pizza City because of Empire Pizza existing. Empire does the cheese correctly, so correctly that you actually have something in San Francisco as good as New York. You actually do. And if you do cheese correctly that means you are trustworthy with toppings and of doing a white pie, which is a true work of art and site to behold for any Pizza purist or elitist.
These guys devote their life to pizza and went to New York and Italy just to study the craft and it shows. I went to New York and Italy to eat and understand pizza from the fan/ consumer/ customer and appreciator standpoint. These men went to perfect the art of making Pizza. Truly on the right path and you can feel it in their presence.
You are absolutely doing the right thing for yourself and your fellow man to go to Empire Pizza. If you are someone who Pizza matters to, I have gone to approximately 50 pizza places in just San Francisco alone since May 2022 and this is the standard bearer fully. 35 years in and around San Francisco, I am a Native and I am a man who loves, honors and respects Pizza and this is simply number 1 in every way. Their product, the staff, the attitude, the vibe, the positivity that permeates from everything this place does.
You will be hard pressed to go in here and not notice other people are also in awe, relieved and furthermore healed by the power of Empire Pizza. Pizza is Life. Life is Love. Love is Pizza.
I stand in 100% support of Empire Pizza's continued success and thriving and will see to contributing to aiding in that as much as possible for the foreseeable future and if you have a brain in your head, a heart in your chest and love for Pizza or anything good and decent in life. You need to do the same. Find a time to go visit Empire. Every slice will change your life unless you are simply a passionless immovable rotten miserable fool who nothing can resurrect because you have presumably given up on life. Even then, you may be surprised that suddenly you do have a new lease on life legitimately after you have tried this...
Read moreThe most delicious New York slice in San Francisco! The chefs and owner behind this business truly care about ingredients and the dough process, therefore producing an amazing quality slice. The square dough is perfectly moist (almost foccacia like) and topped with flavorful tomato sauce and delicious cheeses. The round dough is thin and light and perfectly topped as to not overload the dough. It's the perfect bite of dough, cheese, sauce, and toppings that leaves you feeling warm, satisfied, and good about eating pizza! I love that they use sesame seeds around the crust on their white pies. I recommend trying all! To add onto the deliciousness, the space itself is really beautiful and open. I can't wait to continue to come here to eat the best pizza, drink wine,...
Read moreI once thought that a pizza’s a pizza’s a pizza but after eating here I realized I thought wrong. A food that is so deceptively simple can be made so wrong but Empire gets it so right. This is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. We got the square pepperoni pizza which had the best crust ever and the broccoli white pie which was honestly a favorite - the sesame seeds towards the end of the crust dipped in the hot honey provide a totally different culinary experience from the beginning of the pie and is reminiscent of sesame pastries I had as a kid. Seriously do yourself a favor and try...
