Extremely Disappointed and Deeply Offended – Zero Care for Vegetarians
I recently visited this place with my girlfriend. We ordered two sandwiches — one vegetarian for me (as I’ve been a lifelong vegetarian) and one non-vegetarian for her. To my absolute shock and disgust, I found small pieces of meat and chicken in my vegetarian sandwich.
It was clear that the same oven, knives, and preparation table were used for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items, with no effort to separate them. This is completely unacceptable for anyone who takes their dietary choices seriously — whether for religious, ethical, or personal reasons.
When I brought the sandwich back and calmly explained what had happened, the staff member didn’t even apologize. No acknowledgment of how serious this was. He casually said, “I can make you another one,” and when I refused, he just refunded the money — no apology, no remorse, no care. His attitude was dismissive, as if nothing serious had happened.
This experience has left me angry and disappointed. If you're a vegetarian, vegan, or have dietary restrictions of any kind, please be aware — there seems to be no respect for food separation or customer sensitivity here.
I hope the management takes this seriously, because no one should have to go through this kind of carelessness and indifference. Shame on you guys. If don’t care about vegetarians please stop...

Read moreLove/hate relationship. Every time I go in, the line has formed in a different direction. The last time I went in I got in line from the direction I assumed people were standing and the sandwich man told me I was on the wrong end. The other thing is despite having an amazing menu with items that you would expect to be hot and items you would expect to be cold EVERYTHING IS MADE HOT. Unless your request cold and they look at you funny. In the bay area if you call yourself a deli there is an expectation of cold generally speaking. This should be called Golden Gate Market Subs & Liquor if everything is gonna be hot. Besides ruebens and a couple others I hate hot sandwiches and if you look at quiznos so did a lot of people. A classic deli turkey sandwich should never be hot! And the line should lead you to the cash register not the...
