This hole in the wall deserves my good rating. Simple Chinese food hot line with a menu for some different noodles as well as a selection of donuts.
The place is cash only and the prices are incredibly low and affordable.
I ordered a wonton noodle soup, sugar donut, and meatballs off the hot line.
The wontons are refrigerated and not frozen and the bok choy that came with it tasted very fresh. The donut was a little stale but that was me showing up at the end of the day. The meatballs were delicious and seasoned well.
I recommend the joint to anybody within the area - perhaps visiting the hospital or picking up medicine from CVS across the street - and looking for a cheap, delicious meal to visit this place and give it a try. I can't imagine it's affordable nowadays to offer the low prices they offer as a mom and pop and think they deserve a little more spotlight for their efforts.
If I could offer any feedback to the owners, I would actually recommend they consider making and perhaps selling the wontons in larger pre-cooked batches. They were delicious and I could easily see them selling well in...
Read moreI’ve literally been blowing $10 a meal everyday at rip off places all around bush street the last 5 months... not anymore!! I can’t believe I didn’t discover this place sooner! $6 for 3 Chinese food items??? ** I tried out most items and some of the items are NOT good, while others are good. Noodles, rice, vegetables, and meatballs are good and worth it. Two of the meat based items are not worth it (they don’t look great either). Breakfast is straight up worth it for $5.50 and same quality as nicer places. Eggs are pretty much just eggs at most places. The store isn’t nice but do you want value or ambience?? Small coffee is only $1.50 and potentially same quality as other more expensive coffee shops...
Read moreThe spicy chicken wasn't as spicy as I would have liked - even with the additional hot sauce they provided - but then again, that might just be my high tolerance. The chicken itself was juicy and scrumptious and the garlic noodles had a great consistency to them. I didn't try the donuts, but the apple fritters were a great size and I definitely want to try one the next time I'm in the area. Employees were friendly and inviting, which is key for me as a return customer. And the prices are wonderful - currently 8 dollars for three items! While the selection isn't as wide as other Chinese joints (especially in Chinatown), it's great if you're craving Chinese food and want some some quick and...
