Noah’s Bagels on Bush Street is their main downtown store. Their store near Beale and Mission closed down, which was just as well, since they would mix my order.

The Bush Street store was crowded at lunchtime. I made my order to a bored clerk that I wanted a Panini. He asked what kind. I said what do you have and he listed them. I got the potato salad and the tuna Panini.

To the cashier, nearly $8.00 poorer and then I waited. While waiting I noted that though there were people furiously making sandwiches, the orders were not all that fast coming out. Personally I waited nearly 15 minutes for my simple order.

I noted that two of the clerks took a lunch break, which I thought odd since it was crowded before 1:00 pm.

Sloppy Service: One of the clerks was handing out an order with no bag. The customer asked for a bag. He then opened it for her and handed it to her! A cashier looked like she was busily texting. Hmmm.

The sandwich finally arrived. I noted that though the tuna with pickles and nice tomato were in the Panini, they were arranged so that part of the bread had some tuna and other parts I was just biting into mostly bread. This should have been better arranged.

Overall: The clerks need better training on customer service. You pack a person’s order into a bag, include a few napkins and hand it to them. Simple. Not recommended due to the sloppy service and...

Noah's Bagels has good bagels (particularly when they're toasted) and a good variety. At my office, it was always such a great surprise in the morning to come in and see that someone brought them in as a treat. That being said, the actual experience of going here was awful. After waiting at the register (for a while) to order, one of the staff shouted - actually shouted! - at another staff to serve us. I don't know the story behind that, but it seemed very unprofessional and disruptive. Anyway, my bf and I tried to order breakfast from the menu, only to find out (after ordering everything, but luckily before paying) that they ran out of eggs. Um... okay. That seems like a staple that shouldn't be out, especially since it wasn't that late in the day. They were also out of some of the deli meats. What was left? We don't really know since we didn't stick around to find out. Long story short, while the bagels are good, I'll likely patronize a different business instead the next time I want a bagel/breakfast, and only consider coming here for a quick in...

Their bagels are decent but every time I come here the service is just SO bad. They have a mobile ordering option, but you get there and you have to stand and wait there until you can flag down an employee. The employees here are so busy that they ignore everyone at the counter until you get lucky enough to trap them into your attention. I live around the corner and have been here a couple times and every time it’s the same experience. I’m ignored for 5-10 minutes before I can trap someone to give me my mobile order, then they forget to give me my drink. Today it happened again. 2 other customers in line. I wait for them to give me my order. They forget my drink so I stand there for another 5 mins while the employee has his back turned around me because hes waiting for a bagel to warm up. I tell them they forgot my drink. They have me SNIFFING different cups to help identify which one is the chai latte that I ordered. What an absolutely horrific system. Corporate— please fix your mobile ordering system to be more efficient...

The one thing they do, they definitely get right, which is making delicious bagels. I haven’t had Noah’s bagels in years, and I am happy to say they’re still really good. This morning, I ordered a toasted sesame seed bagel with spread to-go. The bagel came out fast. It was toasted to just the right crispiness, not burnt but not too soft. There was enough spread to finish the bagel and then some, and I didn’t have to add the spread myself. The bagel is big and round, like a burger, and will definitely keep you filled for the morning. The bagel cost me about 4.50, which is decent when you look at the quality of bagels from other places that boast the same price. Needless to say, I was satisfied. For this location, the biggest downside is the atmosphere. There isn’t really one, and the store is pretty small to begin with. There were 2, maybe 3 tables (from what I remember), and they were all quite dirty. But I don’t think too many people will be sticking around there. Overall, I can’t wait to come again. 4/5.

Popped out of a BART station and was eager to find a bagel to snack on while making my way over to Japantown, and Noah's was just around the corner. This simply bagel chain gets the job done and this location is no exception. You have many options here from simply ordering a toasted bagel to a sammy, to coffee and tea. They still don't have any vegan friendly spreads aside from avocados. I hope they'll invest in some dairy-free options someday to make it more friendly for customers like myself. I went for an everything bagel with avocado, tomatoes, and spinach. Very simple sandwich overall without much of the bells and whistles. My sandwich came out okay but it wasn't as crispy and toasty as a sandwich should be. In fact, it was a bit rubbery and chewy, but still not enough for me to full on dislike the experience. If you're looking for the fast food of bagels, then Noah will likely deliver a decent option for you.

I came here since it was the only place open and I am so disappointed that I did. The breakfast sandwich is honestly the most flavorless bite of food that I think I’ve ever had. Microwaved mushy unseasoned egg whites, old vegetables, weird avocado, odd tasting turkey sausage, with no cheese on a breakfast sandwich for some reason… And the bagel? Literally shouldn’t have NY in their name, zero texture, just tastes like flour. The staff also accidentally charged me for two sandwiches, (which they corrected after I noticed the mistake), and the whole ordering process did not go smoothly. I normally don’t write negative reviews, but observing the restaurant it’s clear they have taken every shortcut possible when it comes to making their breakfast sandwich. I do not suggest coming here for that, but can’t comment on the rest of the food.
