Silver Cloud Restaurant & Karaoke Bar — Restaurant in San Francisco

I will admit it ... I am a big fan of Silver Cloud. Sorry I'm not sorry.

I can't speak to the food at all (although given that their promos are deals like "free chicken fingers and salad with purchase of drink", it probably wouldn't top even my list of eateries to try) but it is a solid marina dive bar that provides a welcome change from the typical night out.

First off, it is a lot less crowded than most other nearby watering holes. I think the karaoke component scares away some people, which is fine by me. Drinks are pretty reasonably priced, and they do take credit cards ($15 minimum).

The karaoke selection is very large and the lyrics show up on a number of TVs so spectators can join in as well. They have rules so certain fan favorites (eg Take Me Home Tonight, Sweet Caroline, Don't Stop Believin', etc) only get played once a night.

The karaoke area is a little stage that doesn't totally overwhelm the whole rest of the bar ... the layout is closer to that of a bar that happens to have karaoke set up in one section, as opposed to a karaoke venue that also serves drinks on the side.

I won't lie to you and say Silver Cloud is the classiest bar in town, but when is karaoke ever a particularly elegant affair? Clientele is a fun(ny) mix between your typical marina crew and slightly sleazy older men (I'm talking like 60 here, not 30) who probably should graduate from the karaoke scene.

From the moment I walked into Silver Cloud I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere is electric — a perfect blend of laid-back vibes and high-energy fun. The decor is chic but not too over-the-top, creating a welcoming yet lively setting that’s perfect for any occasion.

Let’s talk about the food! The menu offers a variety of options, all bursting with flavor. Whether you’re a fan of hearty comfort food or lighter, more sophisticated bites, there’s something for everyone.

And then there’s the karaoke! The sound system is top-notch, and the song selection is massive. I was able to sing everything from old-school classics to the latest hits, and the crowd was incredibly supportive, making it feel like a true performance. The staff made sure the night flowed smoothly, always checking in to ensure drinks were topped up and everything was running without a hitch.

What sets this place apart, though, is the vibe. It’s easy to see that everyone here — from the bartenders to the regulars to the karaoke enthusiasts — is just there to have a great time. There’s no pressure, just a lot of laughter, great music, and delicious food.

I can’t recommend Silver Cloud enough. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed night out or ready to belt out your favorite songs, this place delivers on all fronts. Can’t wait...

Would give zero stars if I could. Came here for St. Patty’s Day, expecting a fun night of karaoke with friends. Instead, we were met with the rudest bartender I’ve ever encountered. The blonde one in the black hat took one look at us and decided—without even glancing at our IDs—that we were underage. We’re all 21 and 22, but she refused to check, refused to listen, and instead kicked us out like we were causing a scene (which, by the way, we weren’t). The funniest part? We were here just TWO DAYS AGO, and someone actually did their job by checking our IDs properly. So unless the laws of time and biology changed overnight, her behavior was completely uncalled for. This place has the warmth of a DMV and the hospitality of a brick wall. Even a fish wouldn’t have fun here—though I doubt they’d let it in without a birth certificate and two forms of ID.
