I recently discovered Marina Indian Cuisine on Lombard St, and it’s quickly become my go-to spot for Indian food in San Francisco. I live nearby and often order takeout, and I’ve had the chance to sample almost everything on their menu. The flavors are genuinely authentic, reminding me of the rich and vibrant tastes of India.
What I love most is the freshness of their food. You can tell it’s made with care—none of that stale, reheated taste you get at some other places. The spices and aroma are a testament to the fact that the dishes are prepared fresh.
The service here is excellent too! The staff is always warm and welcoming, ensuring a great dining experience every time. Plus, the ambiance is spot-on—clean, tidy, and with a comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy your meal.
If you’re into Indo-Chinese cuisine, you’re in for a treat! Their desi-style chow mein and momos are a must-try—easily some of the best in the city. Give this place a shot, and you won’t be...
Read moreWe recently dined at Marina Indian Restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! The food was packed with flavor, and every dish we tried stood out with its distinct taste. The naan was so light and flavorful that we could have happily made a meal of it alone—it’s that good! The cumin rice was perfectly prepared, complementing each dish beautifully.
We ordered the saag paneer, a vegan eggplant dish, and the dal soup, and each one was delicious. The saag paneer was rich and creamy, the eggplant dish was wonderfully spiced, and the dal soup was comforting and full of flavor. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into the preparation here.
The service was also great—friendly and attentive. Since the restaurant is new, we’re excited to see it grow. If you’re looking for authentic and flavorful Indian and Nepalese cuisine, we highly recommend Marina Indian Restaurant. We’ll definitely be back for more naan and those...
Read moreBest Indian food I've ever had in my 46 years on this planet. It's my favorite food and I seek out the best places wherever I live or visit. The Vindaloo was perfectly balanced with heat and spice, supremely flavorful. The garlic naan was soft and crispy, perfect texture. The meal did not come with rice, which surprised me, but no big deal. I asked for a small side and it came out instantly. It was so fragrant and delicious- I want to say cinnamon? Whatever they put in, paired perfectly with the Vindaloo. Accompanied with a Taj Mahal, I was in heaven! I was so, so full and then they brought out a complimentary rice pudding. It was fantastic, but I could only fit in a few spoonfuls. I was surprised to hear that they were a newer restaurant, because the food and service were BEYOND! We'll be back in the summer to see y'all again. Thanks for a great...
