Listen up, my fabulous foodie friends! Your girl just found the most sickening Japanese curry spot in San Francisco that had me gagging - in the best way possible! Nippon Curry is serving up that award-winning Hinoya curry that's thicker than my false lashes and more flavorful than the backstage drama at a drag brunch!
The menu is perfectly curated, darling - none of that "too many options" nonsense that gives me decision anxiety before a costume change. And the service? Efficient and fierce, just how I like my quick-change assistants! You order at the counter, and honey, there's always a clean table waiting for you like a fresh powder puff.
Let me tell you about these lewks I ordered! First up, that Aji Fry Curry is giving crispy fish ELEGANZA, hunty! Served on a bed of rice pearls with curry sauce flowing like liquid gold - it's a moment! And that tartar sauce packet? Well, she's a bit basic, but she does her job, mama!
Then we have the Chicken Katsu Curry serving pure excellence! That curry sauce is spreading across the plate like gossip at a drag brunch - thick, rich, and honey, it's spilling ALL the tea! The breading on these cutlets? Crispy enough to rival the crunch of my highest heels on a marble floor!
The sauce? Baby, it's working harder than my waist cincher! Rich and smooth like my favorite silk gown, this curry is giving everything it needs to give! The whole experience is serving Japanese realness with NHK World videos playing in the background - it's like being transported to Tokyo without having to pack my six suitcases of wigs!
This curry palace is OPEN for business, darling, and you better work your way over there, because this is where the curry queens reign supreme! And that's the tea, no shade,...
Read moreDon't recommend that place personal is not polite and rude! Never come again! 've encountered at this restaurant the cashier make me start the trip before giving me the food.He did it almost three or four times. I was confused cuz I can't properly double check the numbers and items in order and name I was quietly follow to his command. Couple hours later I have received another order at this restaurant. Cashier was again encountered me I ask him don't tell me what I supposed to do, cuz I know exactly my responsibility and another cashier/ manager start couching me and accusing me. I said politely with a smile that I know my responsibility. He raised his voice and continue couching me. I said don't tell me it please I know my responsibility. Actually I do it as soon as possible when it would be ready and I feel safe to start . I repeat that I don't need need his encountered. They didn't say sorry. His response on google was offensive and not completely true. Be aware of this place and unprofessional behavior. I was completely ruined, because all restaurants where I was got delivery never act like that.It was first time.I decided not to argue. And continue my work as fast as possible and no use engaging with someone so totally out of line. The manager and cashier words and attitude were both impolite and...
Read moreThe Food Hinoya Curry, which is now named Nippon Curry feat Hinoya Curry serves Japanese Curry. Friends have been there a few times so I also wanted to go try it. I got their Pork Katsu Curry with pickles, and a side of Karaage. Their Karaage have light breading, but it is still crispy. The Pork Katsu is also done well, crispy outside with tender inside, and goes well with the curry. The curry itself was on the sweet side, and had a slight kick of spice. They did not have an option to adjust the spiciness, which I wish they did. But all in all, the food was delicious.
The Miscellaneous The restaurant is on a side street near the main streets. There is street parking, but also parking garages nearby. The restaurant currently has both indoor and outdoor seating. Though a lot of it is more self service, their employees seem very kind and helpful. The service time is also not long. But your mileage may vary during peak hours. They don't have an extensive menu, so you won't have to worry about what to choose. Everything is pretty straightforward. I would recommend it if you enjoy Japanese Curry, especially on the sweeter side. I also want to try some of their different...
