I had an enchanting evening at Bar Iris, where the cozy and intimate atmosphere set the stage for a memorable experience.
The attentive waiter staff added to the overall enjoyment. Although we missed out on snacks, the highlight of the night was undoubtedly the exquisite cocktails.
I indulged in two rounds of the LEVEL UP! drink, a delightful blend of strawberry juice, pandan, rhubarb, awayuki gin, lemon, egg whites, and the flavorful combination of shichimi powder, which truly enhanced the overall flavor profile. It's smooth not spirit forward which, I truly enjoyed.
Additionally, my friend ordered the SORRY, NOT SORRY with a whiskey base, which compliments the creative craftsmanship of the cocktails.
The creativity and balance of flavors in both cocktails were truly exceptional. Looking forward to returning for a more comprehensive tasting experience, including the tempting snacks we missed out on.
I’m back for the holiday drinks and have this "PUMPKABOO" a warm, comforting cocktail with Kabocha's “Japanese Pumpkin” sweet richness, Pandan's fragrant sweetness, and Oolong's complexity. Iwai 45 whisky and Mugi Hokka shochu provide a spirited kick and depth. Gran Classico adds balanced bitterness, while milk contributes creaminess. Topped with a marshmallow garnish, it's a cozy, indulgent richness. I enjoyed the unique blend of flavors!
Cheers to Bar Iris for an evening well spent!
Rediscovered the enchantment at Bar Iris last Friday, savoring the brilliance of EMPTY ORCHESTRA – a captivating blend of roasted refreshing drink; DON’T TOUCH MY MUSTACHE creating a harmonious cocktail. MOCHI-AGE’s Japanese tater tots were a delightful fusion of flavors. Bar Iris continues to deliver a short but magical escape into...
Read moreI saw the unbelievably stunning photos on Instagram and ran over to try out Bar Iris last night. I have VERY high expectations, so it's not often they're met, or definitely exceeded, but Bar Iris did just that. We were trying to avoid indoor crowds due to our upcoming Thanksgiving trip to see family so we stayed in the parklet (very pleasant) but the space looked SO cute and I'm really excited to go back and spend time inside. The staff couldn't have been nicer--seriously it reminded me of the days before the pandemic when service was actually an art people cared about. Everyone we interacted with was kind, helpful, and just so pleasant. Their ordering system is via QR code which made the whole process so seamless, and they brought out our food and drinks in lightning speed. Now here's the best part: almost always when you see absolutely stunning cocktails and food online what you actually get at a restaurant looks nothing like the professional photos--they use different glassware, the garnishes disappear, the presentation is just way watered down if there's presentation at all. NOT SO at Bar Iris. Everything looked JUST as beautiful as the photos that inspired us to come over in the first place, and tasted even better. The food was incredible, the cocktails were incredible (both inventive AND delicious), the space was incredible, the people were incredible. I'd give this place ten stars if I could. What a phenomenal addition to the neighborhood and one I DEFINITELY plan on...
Read moreone of my new favorite bars in the city. all of the cocktails were balanced and creative, the interior was moody without seeming pretentious and bartenders friendly and knowledgeable. overall, a top tier bar in the city and would try the food next time too!
linda linda: probably one of my fav cocktails. creamy and refreshing and not too spirit forward.
hidden trail: similar refreshing vibe as linda linda, easy to drink and tasty. loved the slight smokiness of the mezcal. top tier!
level up: fresh strawberry flavor and love the spice that hits your lips. tart, slightly sweet. enjoyed this too.
okinawa: liked the other two drinks better but this was still tasty. slightly too heavy for me though
winter trail: love a good milk washed drink and this one was tasty. felt a little flat though
tsukemono martini: personally don’t like martinis so couldn’t finish that one. nice briny flavor from the...
