This is the first time i ever gave a restaurant a bad review. Bad food and bad customer service all around. Ordered chicken rice noodles soup that was sweet and full of sugar, awful tasting. Ordered shrimp Clay pot, there was no Clay pot, it was Sautéed shrimp with vermicelli noodles in a small pot like dish. I ate a shrimp and it tasted a bit dry and tasteless and low quality and didn't want to cause problems and ate 2 more of the shrimps and it had more pepper on it then necessary. Next I ate the vermicelli and it had so much pepper it burned my tongue and I had to drink water to soothe my tongue. Told the waitress I wanted to return the dish and that it wasn't edible. She said you ate the shrimp, we can't take it back. I told her she had to take at least half off because the dish wasn't edible and she took 7.00 off the 15.00 dish. She dropped off the check and rushed the disgusting dish away from the table as if I was going to eat it after she gave me the discount. I would say it's the 2 worst Thai dishes I ever had and absolutely the poorest customer service. If the service was not so poor, I may have returned to try other dishes but seriously when a restaurant hires such poorly trained staff they are just asking to go out of business. There are plenty of wonderful Thai restaurants in SF and I would absolutely ...

The curries lack depth and flavor. Everyone knows that O.O moment when your first bite of a rich, spicy Thai curry hits. Unfortunately we met lackluster, watery curry comparable to a powder mix from the grocery. Similarly, you vow to never do THAT again.
The other orders were no saving grace. The kra pow was the oddest rendition and shrimp cakes tasted rubbery and bland with an uninspiring sauce to drown the disappointment.
Lastly, the fried rice was the final nail in the coffin. My home wok + scorching heat never fails to deliver, so I expect far better wok hei from an industrial kitchen’s flame. Was it prepared...
Read moreLemongrass is a beautiful restaurant with cozy seating and lovely decor. Luckily they still seated us despite our not so super lovely attire. The menu looked awesome and I went for one of their specials that day- ginger chicken. The food came out right away but I found the overall taste of my dish to be too sweet. I tried my friend's pad thai and my other friend's curry and they were all way sweeter than they are supposed to be. It really through me off and took away from the experience. Our server was super nice and speedy and the prices were decent for the portions. However, I couldn't get past how sweet it was, so I can't imagine I...
