I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fin, a Thai seafood restaurant in San Francisco owned by Kobe, and it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The restaurant not only offers the freshest seafood but also features beautiful decorations that create a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere.

Our meal began with the crab omelette, which was a delightful combination of fluffy eggs and succulent crab meat. It was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The crab fried rice that followed was equally impressive, with generous portions of fresh crab and a delicious mix of seasonings that made every bite a delight.

The fried fish was a standout dish, boasting a crispy exterior and tender, flavorful interior. The oysters were incredibly fresh and served with a delightful sauce that enhanced their natural brininess.

To complement our meal, we enjoyed bottles of champagne, which paired perfectly with the seafood dishes. The staff at Fin were attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of excellent.

Fin is a true gem in San Francisco, offering fresh seafood and a beautifully decorated setting. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. I can’t...

If you are a vegetarian, please do not go here.

A group of us went and asked for the vegetarian option dishes (Pad See Ew and Green Curry), and we were Taught by the waitress that vegetarian means that we can eat fish and oyster sauce. They then told us that they don't make Jain food - which came across a bit racist, as we weren't asking for Jain food and we are not Jain.

The owner came over and said he is going to go out of the way and make us Vegetarian food that we ordered without fish (because apparently that's an extremely difficult lift). About 5 minutes after we got our entree, we were asked if we wanted boxes since they needed to close. The hostesses were extremely passive aggressive.

Between the racism, passive aggressive nature of the staff, and the lack of making food labeled vegetarian as vegetarian, I will not be...

was eager to try Finthai and came by during soft opening. i was already impressed with the modern decor and tropical theme that the restaurant has.

i was in for a treat and tried the fried shrimp cake, garlic squid, crab fried rice, and seafood and gai lan egg noodles with gravy. what really drives these dishes up a notch is the sauce and spices that are paired with the food, depending on your spice tolerance this will make for a very hot meal! didn't get to try the naked prawns but if you follow the restaurant scene here, you may know where it's from!

dining small or large group is flexible but recommend coming with friends and family to try all the different dishes on the menu. great combo of service and tasty food makes for an awesome experience at Finthai! hands down the best Thai...

I would definitely recommend visiting Fin. I think this will be a hot spot for SF Thai food as it is leagues above other places I’ve tried. Right now it is pretty low profile and not busy as it only opened 2 weeks ago. We ate 4 dishes and I’m ranking them in taste: 1. Clam coconut soup 2. Fried squid in garlic 3. Crab meat fried rice (joint 2nd) 4. Morning glory The clam coconut soup was sweet and sour with a lovely tanginess to it. The fried squid was very high quality squid and garlicky. The crab fried rice was also very flavourful - I have found it can be bland on other restaurants. The morning glory was solid but a distant 4th compared to the other 3 dishes which were all very unique. Atmosphere got a 4 because it was quite empty. It is well decorated inside.

Had an amazing experience at Fin Thai! The food was amazing, fresh, and vibrant. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff were all super friendly and accommodating. I was already a huge fan of Chef Kobe’s restaurant Saap Ver so coming here and learning that this was his new restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for good thai food in a nice atmosphere! Oysters, prawns, and dungeness crab were all fantastic. The noodles may be a bit spicy for those with low spice tolerance but still delicious overall.
