After seeing all the great reviews, we decided to give this place a try. However, we were very disappointed at their service and food.
[Service] After giving the number of people in our party, the waiter said he was going to get our table ready. People were starting to show up and were getting seated but we were still waiting outside for our table. I had to walk in and tell the waitress that were are still waitig to be seated. She didn't realized that we were waiting for an indoor table and did managed to get us seated. We were seated at the biggest table inside which was tucked in a corner by the kitchen, which I hate especially when we have kids. (This is so common for restaurants to shove a family with kids in a corner and be forgotten...in my opinion.)
Remember me saying about being "forgotten"? While everyone, who got seated after us, got all their drinks, we finally had someone come check in with us and ordered our drinks., our drinks took awhile and two male servers came to our table (separate times) to see if we ordered our drinks. After saying "yes" both times, they proceeded to help other customers and get their drinks instead of ours.
Since we were sitting near the kitchen, it was unavoidable to see the cooks prepare the meals. One of the cook kept pinching his mask and pulling it away from his mouth so he can get some air. This made me cringe because he was not aware of it and continued cracking eggs and cooking at the stove.
Now to the food... the hash browns were soggy, had bell peppers in it, and was not seasoned well. Our eggs were dry and overcooked. My kiddos love eating eggs, but they could care less about the eggs.
Overall, the service was terrible...it didn't seem like they had good communication as a team. The service seem very disorganized and unprepared. The food was questionable. Overall, we will not be coming back...
Read moreThis morning, I found myself searching for a place to have breakfast when a little gem called Louisa caught my eye. The name hit me like a wave—it’s my mom’s name. She passed away years ago, and seeing it again stirred something deep inside me. With my heart full of emotions, I decided to go, not even knowing what to expect from the food. But what I discovered was beyond anything I could’ve imagined.
The coffee—oh, the coffee! As a Colombian, I’ve had my share of coffee, and let me tell you, if you can sip a coffee without needing sugar or cream and still taste its richness, you know it’s a good one. And this one? It was perfect—neither too strong nor too weak, just smooth, bold, and full of flavor.
We ordered the ranchero eggs, and the server kindly suggested adding bacon. What arrived was a plate of beauty—original, flavorful, and comforting all at once. A warm tortilla at the base, drenched in a deliciously rich sauce, topped with perfectly cooked eggs. The combination was something I had never tasted before—so balanced, so right. Every bite was a revelation.
But let me tell you, the real magic came from the country fries. I couldn't stop eating them. Crispy, golden perfection. They had that perfect crunch that just takes you back to something familiar and comforting, like home.
What started as a journey driven by emotions led me to something much more—a love affair with food. Louisa’s wasn’t just a breakfast spot—it was a reminder that sometimes, the best surprises come when you least...
Read moreFirst of all, I'm not a foodie. I just expect good food from someplace that everyone raves about and has had numerous articles written about them. 40 years ago I had breakfast there and it was a poor experience. The waitress pushed their home fries even though I said I wasn't interested. I don't recall what I had for breakfast but the home fries must have been on the grill for along time. They were inedible, definitely overcooked. I told the waitress I didn't want them and asked either for something else or just remove them from my plate because those home fries were unattractive to look at. Let's just say she was very rude and huffy after that. Present day, 40 years later. I tried breakfast again. Remembering the home fries incident I ordered tater tots, which were good-pretty difficult to ruin them. I ordered an omelet. Again disappointed. I received an egg pancake wrapped around spinach, mushrooms and swiss cheese. The egg pancake was brown making the eggs overcooked and somewhat bitter. Now, I haven't had lunch there. But with two poor experiences 40 years apart, I will not return. People expect honest reviews here and these are my experiences. Yes, know people rave about this place but twice I didn't receive an enjoyable or...
