Bagel Bakery — Restaurant in Sand City

Terrible customer service. They verballty attack you that the wrong order is your fault. The first bagel had to be returned. It was completely, black & burnt. The man acted like it was my fault. I said double toasted not burnt. "I can't eat this." Then the second order had a weird taste. Like Garlic. (All the garlic pieces were black like onion! I ONLY Order Onion Bagels but, they tried to blame mistake on me. I asked for an Onion Bagel to go then. The manager was quick to say, "we will give you an onion bagel but no cream cheese! We will give you No cream cheese!" I said, I still have a little left. She walked away like I was trying to get away with something! There was absolutely, no apology. If she has to watch her money that closely, then maybe she & that young man should not accuse their prospective customers. Bagel Bakery on Alvarado would haveNEVER Been So RUDE to ANYONE! ...no apologies were made on anything! I will go to Alvarado street where they have consistent good food, and treat their customers like valued jewels. They give understanding and respect to their customers. I will go there! ...

I usually come to the Bagel Bakery periodically - over the last 30 or so years - and have never had a complaint... but today I am super disappointed. Ever since the guy stopped working the morning shift in Sand City about a month ago, it hasn't been the same. The bagels and cream cheese has always been predicable with plenty of cream cheese. But not anymore, it is just really inconsistent now. Yesterday I got a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and it was perfect. Today I got the same thing, plus an order of a cranberry bagel with honey butter and both were inadequate, to say the least. The honey butter might as well have not been used because of how little there was. Not even enough to moisten the bagel. But the true angst came with the cinnamon raisin bagel. The plentiful cream cheese of the past has been replaced with barely a smear. And today it was...

I had the New Yorker which is Lox and cream cheese. Normally these come with Capers but this one did not, I asked for no Tomato which she did take off.

I was standing in front of the counter off to the left in front of the sign that says take order here. A gentleman came up behind me and the woman didn’t ask me if I had been helped and just helped the gentleman. I told the woman that helped me and she didn’t comment at all. The woman that ignored me I told her and instead of relying with, “sorry I thought you had been helped,” she responds with well you were to the side so I thought you had been helped.
