**New Mexico | A One-Sentence Summary of 14 Restaurants Across 4 Cities**

This was a surprising experience because our front desk at the Drury highly recommended this place. First of all, Sunday Feb 17 2019, 8pm, the place was empty. We were sat quickly and offered menus equally quickly. We ordered two fancy margueritas (see bill), a beet salad and guacamole to share. And then it went downhill. Twenty minutes later neither margueritas or the food had arrived. Our waiter could be seen walking around. The bar was empty. Other employees were walking around slowly. We called the manager over. Seemed the waiter had forgotten to put our orders in. Two margueritas were rushed over, but neither was particularly as expected (both were weak, we had asked for a cointreau substitute on one as opposed to grand marnier, and it contained neither... very disappointing at $15 apiece). The food was rushed over. The manager said he would give us a discount and apologized... the waiter came over and apologized... At this stage, please look at the attached bill. We couldn't believe that after all that, they insulted us again by giving us $4 off the entire bill... clearly that is how much they value good service when they can't be bothered to get it right. I can't imagine in a place this incompetent that Eldorado Hotel leadership reviews posts like this one, but if they do, I strongly suggest if you are going to take tourists' hard earned money, you treat them properly, especially in a town dependent on tourism dollars. I urge most to avoid this place... there's so many good places to eat in this town.

Limited food choices that are overpriced. An additional charge of $4 to mix tacos is unnecessary. The carnitas(pulled pork) lacked flavor. The pork was bland. The children's menu seems to offer food selections that would be more appreciated by adults. Drink menu has a number of cocktails to enjoy. The cucumber Collins was delicious. Smokey and fire margarita was refreshing. The fire portion of the name is misleading. The mezcal offers the smoke. Service leaves one wanting. Was greeted and told to sit anywhere by waiter. That same waiter took over 5 mintues to take drink order. Would recommend sitting at the bar and visiting for drinks. Don't waste time getting dinner

I don't like leaving bad reviews without giving a restaurant time to rectify the situation, however I feel after trying to talk to the manager and front desk I've given opportunity. So I live an hour away from Santa Fe, I book Agave for the first time to have a nice brunch on a Sunday. I go into open table and book it for 11am. I use open table any time I can so I didn't look anywhere else. Our whole family drives up and it looks strange as we enter, its mostly empty so we get someone finally and say hello we have an 11 am reservation and we just get the "were closed" response. We repeat, but we booked an 11 am on open table for your restaurant, again just get the "were closed" response, you know because we didn't hear that the first time. I then go to the front desk and explain what happened, and instead of trying to fix it, I just get a list of other places to dine at. I'm sorry but if you are associated with an AAA 4 Diamond hotel (Eldorado Hotel & Spa) and you aren't even in the neighborhood of emulating a Ritz Carlton like customer experience, then what good is your rating in the first place? If I was at the Ritz, the door man would have probably ran in the kitchen and scrambled some eggs for me. Bottom line, if you manage your schedule on a booking app and I book a time and suffer an hour drive, a hungry family and the run around / cold shoulder all because of your error and I still lose, you have failed at your goal of being...

If I could give a zero star review, this would be it. Our group of 6 went here during the Happy Hour time and from start to finish, the meal was a total service disaster. From the moment we walked up the stairs, it took a long time to get our drink order and food order. It took even longer to receive the drinks -- in fact, it came AFTER the main food was delivered! Any time we requested basic needs like silverware, napkins, ketchup, an additional beverage, etc., they either never came, or required repeat asking! When my husband asked the manager, why the service was so poor, the manager simply ran off! Agave should have comped us the meal, if they cared one iota about how off-putting the whole experience was. And the food is nothing to write home about. Burger is basic. I'm on IG and a foodie, and it did not even look visually appealing when it came out. This place is clearly short staffed with untrained managers and servers. I will never come here again, and I will NEVER recommend a meal here. Two huge...
