I scheduled a delivery for 11:30am around 10am. App said they left the store at 11:40. No big deal I thought. I didn't need it exactly at 11:30. It'll probably be here soon.
How wrong I was. It's now noon & no delivery. Odd, as I live less than 10 minutes from the store. I call. I say I'm calling to check on my order. Without asking me for any info, the person calling says "The driver just left. click" That was a fast hang up. And how did they know who I was? I guess caller ID.
12:15, the tracker says it has been delivered but still no pizza. I call again. "Okay, what was your name?" So much for the caller ID theory. Did he even check last time. "I see it. The driver left a bit ago. It should be there soon." "But I only live 10 minutes away. It was supposed to be here at 11:30." "Okay, I'll call the driver click" Man, these guys like to hang up fast.
12:40 still no pizza. Call again. "Can I talk to a manager?" "You can talk to me. What's your issue?" I explain I've been trying to get my order for over an hour. "Oh sorry, it's been busy. They're on their way." She hadn't ask me for my name or number, so I'm skeptical. "The tracker said it was delivered some time ago. Are you sure there wasn't a mistake." "The tracker doesn't work." After some back & forth, I ask if they can just cancel & refund my order. "Your driver already left." "I know, but it's over an hour late & I don't have any confidence it's going to arrive." "It's 6 minutes away." "How do you know that?" "It's 6 minutes away." "Can you please just cancel my order & refund the charge?" "Is 6 minutes away. click"
At this point, I don't want to ever order from Domino's again.
I'm not worried about the money. I'll just reverse the charges with the credit card company since they didn't want to refund it. But it was a very frustrating...
Read moreI used to order from them on occasion years ago but stopped about a few years back due to the quality of their food. I admit that their food was not greatest but it was convenient.
The last number of times I’ve seen them dousing their food with a ton of oil/grease. It was to the point that it was dripping through the plastic paper and through the bottom of the box. And a few occasions it was just a puddle on top of the food which had to be tipped over to remove the puddle of oil/grease.
The last straw with them was when I ordered a medium pizza for lunch, just cheese and sauce and that’s what I normally ordered from them and other places. When I got it, it looked “okay”. Ate it normally with no problems. About 20 minutes after I ate it my stomach started growling. Then all of the sudden I started vomiting everywhere. It was all the pizza (well just the cheese) and it was literally golf ball shaped pieces that smelled like rotten cheese. After that episode I started feeling way better.
Called the store and they were making excuses like maybe it was my dinner or my breakfast. I DID NOT eat anything with cheese in or on it in days. And they claimed that it never happened before and they had to contact people who ordered around the time I ordered to see if they had any issues.
The strange part was that they had no record or information on my order. The box didn’t have any labels on it. Even though I called in for pickup. Had to bring the box back to them with the credit cards and they had to manually look it up.
If you want good quality, good tasting pizza, and consistent results then I would suggest the many other pizza places throughout Santa Monica like Stella Barra, Dagwoods, SM Pizza, Earth, Wind and Flour, Milo & Olive, and many others. It would be a little more expensive but it would be...

The worker did not meantion that the address was out of their delivery zone and placed our order. She took our credit card information and charged it. The order said it would take 30-45 mintues. An hour later and the pizza is not delivered, so I call back. Only to find out that our address is out of the delivery zone and Dominos had canceled our order. I do not understand why I did not recieve a call from the emplloyee that had taken my order, to inform me that she was mistaken and that our address was out of zone. I then had to call another Dominos and place another order which then I would have to wait another 30 mintues...
