My first impression walking in was ewwwww! But decided to carry out this experience because the reviews were good…not sure why so I’m here to set the record straight.
I was greeted with a look as if “oh god another customer” sit anywhere she said but the 3 open tables were all dirty. However, I sat and it was quickly cleaned off without a greeting but with a look of hurry up I want this night over with. It was a Saturday
I ordered the pile high brisket sandwich and my wife got the Mac and cheese. We both were going to share our meals Although both tasted pretty good but I would not get them again. The Mac and cheese was tasty but there was minimal if any brisket; however, the cheese was the perfect consistency not gooey or clumpy but draped over the noodle like a sticky sauce, extremely tasty but served Luke warm-cold. My brisket sandwich was not even close to being pile high as the verbiage suggested but rather flat to a hamburger consistency. Oh but they make up for your hunger by giving enough fries that were awkwardly shaped. I was very hungry and didn’t have the energy to complain
The server never checked back with us after dropping off the food but was quickly eager to give us our check. The price for the meal was overall expensive compared to the portion. I expect to pay $18 for each meal due to a tourist area but I also expect to get some food with that price. Both these dishes were like a happy meal size and thus we could not share…well at least the Mac and cheese I had a few bites but she could not touch my 3 bite sandwich and for that and the service I WILL...
Read moreThe hospitality portion needs some serious work. I only am rating this as much as I am due to the soul saving grace is the food was fantastic. It's the service that needs some help bad. I had placed a to go order and planned to have a drink while I waited. The place was not busy by any means. There was a couple at the bar and a few tables with guest. Two servers at the bar, one behind a point of sale terminal on the other side near the stairs. No one greeted me. As a former bar manager, strike one. I made eye contact with several of the servers and nothing. I watched another server walk up to the side termninal and rather than speak to a customer- socialize with a co-worker. It took the one server who was working on the point of sale terminal behind the bar to say something to her fellow employee before I was even acknowledged... There was no apology nothing. She didn't even greet just asked what I needed... In a tone that was more annoyed that would be Akin to if someone interrupted her conversation. I told her I had a doordash order and my name she grabbed the bag and that was it. No thanks for waiting or have a good night. I told the entire bar have a good night and was met with nothing in return as I left. Honestly on a Saturday night at nearly 8pm - I get why this place is dead and there's a line of people waiting to get into Churchhill's... The staff is literally running money/their tips...
Read moreI visited this place about 2 months ago with some friends and have debated on writing this review. Let me just say that the wings are amazing, and I genuinely enjoyed my food, my drink, and the atmosphere. The portions are big enough to have leftovers which I loved. However, when I ordered a drink, my server was extremely rude about my ID. After quizzing me on my birthday, she said “I’m just letting you know that I’m super lenient but this won’t pass anywhere else”. I was a little in shock because I have never been told my ID was fake before, but whatever. I told her that my ID was, in fact, real, and she scoffed and rolled her eyes at me. She served me anyway but was rude to me for the entire rest of the time I was there. I guess this waitress was on a power trip and thought she was doing me a favor but I just felt humiliated. If you think someone’s ID is fake then don’t serve them. I would have been totally fine with being turned down. She didn’t have to be rude towards me. Other than that, I thought the food and atmosphere was awesome, I thoroughly enjoyed every other aspect of this place except for...
