Read moreNot a terrible place to stop by and get some coffee when you are at the fashion square mall and it would be nice if this is an actual Capital One branch location. The interior design of this place is really nice as well, but most rooms are closed. I was originally going in to try some coffee from this place as I did enjoy the Macchiato I got when I first visited a Capital One Cafe in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I also noticed that Capital One credit/debit card holders receive 50% off their order. I told the barista about my situation where I opened a Capital One 360 Checking account almost 2 weeks ago and never got the debit card, I was told to talk to one of the employees who were hanging out, laughing loud, talking loud etc. I was only to be told to call the 1800 number, which I did and had to ask them to expedite the shipment of the debit card. Since I did order a Mocha before I went to the other people there, they let me have the first one for free. Since I hate to just grab freebies, I ordered another one and explained to her what is the outcome when she asked about it, she trusted that I am a Capital One account holder when I told her I could show her the app on my phone. That is when things get complicated. I was going to get Iced espresso with soy milk, it came out in a very small cup and wanted to charge me extra for soy milk, I had to wrap around and ask her for another mocha regular. It has been a mess on my visit here and it is really bad that they were out of condensed milk and the macchiato I enjoyed at the FL location. I was going to try the Havana Cappuccino...
Read moreTHE ONLY THING I would say to for a slight markdown of maybe a 1/4 of a star, would be that one of the employees was using 1 of 2 private meeting rooms to themselves. I know this because they walked behind the counter and made themselves a coffee. I can see if they were conducting meetings, job interviews etc. but the person was in there for over an hour on their computer. Isn't there maybe a back office to the Capital One Cafe....??
We came in to meet a client and thought this was the perfect place. It was! We aren't hugely critical to the point of marking down a rating UNLESS it's a legit reason. The above is just something for management to address. We held our little meeting with our client out in the open (like most people do) and the atmosphere was very professional, well lighted and the tables and chairs were comfortable enough for such a meeting.
As mentioned, there are two closed off glass rooms for meetings or groups to conduct business. This particular day, both were filled up with one individual each on their computers.
There is a little area in the back, also an entrance on the street/parking lot side. Several areas in the main entrance (inside mall side) that are well suited for what we needed.
Marianna was extremely helpful walking us through our first time there and the little perk of being their card holder was really fortunate for us - there is a Capital One discount (look it up in case it changes) - that was huge! Our espresso drinks were perfect; the local was great and Marianna was right on! ...
