I ate a cheese steak here that was as good as anything I have ever had in Philadelphia. The large slices of ribeye combined with the onions and the cheese on a seeded roll made for an outstanding meal. I highly recommend this establishment
Updated review- I visited cheesesteak Louie's three times in the last couple of months. Each time I have had an excellent experience. This includes the food as well as the service .
Today, I had the Mac Daddy cheesesteak. This is a cheesesteak sandwich with what appeared to be a penne pasta mixed in. I also had sauteed onions and provolone cheese on the sandwich.
I tend to be somewhat of a purist regarding my cheesesteak sandwiches. However, I thought I would experiment a little bit with a different kind of sandwich. I was very pleased with the outcome of this particular experiment. As always, the meat was done properly. The Mac and provolone made an interesting addition to the sandwich. The onions were done just right for my taste.
I continue to recommend Cheesesteak Louie's as an excellent place to experience what a cheesesteak really should be.
I visited cheesesteak Louie's again on the 4th of July. It was shortly after opening, but they were very busy and continued to be busy while I was there.
I had the original cheese steak with the Cooper sharp cheese and onions. I asked for the onions to be cooked for a little bit longer than normal and they came out perfectly. As always, I had an excellent meal here.
At this oint I need to praise the front of house staff. The indiviuals who interact with the customers are always pleasant and helpful. There is one who is determned to learn and remember your name before you leave. This is just anther example of the interest this establishment shows to it's customers.
I have visited many of the best cheese steak places in New Jersey over the last year, I still find Cheesesteak Louie's to be the best. It is a short walk from the boardwalk at Seaside Heights and well worth the trip.
I recommend that you visit here whenever you have the urge for a good...
Read moreSeaside Heights is long known as one of the cheesesteak capitals of New Jersey. This isn’t surprising because what cries out “cheesesteak” more than a day carousing the boardwalk. Well, I was implored to travel a bit off the boards and head back to the boulevard for a taste of CheeseSteak Louie’s.. I was there mid afternoon on a hot day after coming of the beach. It wasn’t a specific meal time and it was not the late night rush so when I got there it was fairly empty. I didn’t have to wait in a line and most of the tables were open. I went for the original with peppers and onions. I placed my order at the counter and was a bit surprised by the price (almost $18 for a cheesesteak and a fountain soda), but I thought that it’s the summer of inflation so I didn’t argue pricing.. I then proceeded to sit at a table and wait for the meal.. I have to say the wait for a cheesesteak was much longer than I expected for a counter operation.. in the defense of the chef, it seemed like there was only one person working in the kitchen at the time and it seemed like there were pickup orders coming in along with the walk-in patrons, but still it was nearly a half hour until the sandwich was ready which is too long on a quiet afternoon for a counter service restaurant.. now once the cheesesteak came out it was indeed worth the wait, not only was it nearly twice as big as some boardwalk cheesesteaks, it was delicious!!! Seemed to be freshly made to order( which probably explains part of the wait) and it did not skimp on ingredients. It was a little greasy, but hey ain’t that the point of a greasy spoon? Atmosphere was quiet but had the yankee game on at least to kill time during the wait, the staff was very friendly and the cheesesteak...
Read moreI have never left a review anywhere on google before; however, after my experience this weekend, I decided I definitely need to for this wonderful establishment. My boyfriend and I came to visit Seaside Heights for our spring break. My dad recommended me to CheeseSteak Louie’s, as he heard it had great reviews. So we went for lunch, and it was absolutely fantastic. From the time you walk in you are greeted with a smiling face. Aside from the super pleasant staff, the food is delicious. It came out quickly, and nice and hot! The meat was well seasoned, and I loved how the cheese was throughout the meat! The seeded roll topped it off!! I am from the Philly area, so I grew up eating cheesesteaks. Cheesesteak Louie’s is now by far my favorite. It was so good, we went back for lunch the next day and the kind employee remembered our order from the day prior! Little things like that is what keeps people coming back! The only thing we would have liked was if they offered hot peppers, like jalapeños, to go on our steaks; however, we had cherry peppers instead and they were delicious. If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a meal, definitely give this place a try. You won’t regret it! We will be...
