So I’ve heard for a couple years now about klee’s and especially about their pizzas, but id never gotten around to checking it out. Glad I finally did. From the outside looks like a real dive but on the inside it’s clean and bright, like it’s been renovated somewhat recently.. there’s a nice big bar that takes up one wall of the joint but also plenty of table seating in the rest of the area.. as I stated I was expecting a dive or more of a dark pub vibe but that wasn’t the case, maybe because I went on a Sunday afternoon, but lots of families in the joint.. kids, grandparents, whole 9.. on to the food tho,,, the pizzas were as advertised, really good bar style pie.. thin crust, crispy with good sauce and cheese ratio, had a cheese and a pepperoni and both checked the boxes.. I’ll note that I was advised to order the full size pie not the bar pie because I was told the smaller “bar pie” was not as thin and crispy. I found this to be good advice.. also tried an order of Buffalo wings, which were cooked well and sufficiently crispy but did not have barely any sauce on them.. blue cheese sufficiently chunky tho. good Guinness on tap!

In total honesty, we only came here because we foolishly didn’t make a reservation for anywhere else on a Saturday night. We waited about 45 minutes to get a table. We got clams and old bay wings to start. The wings were pretty great, which is expected from a place that looks like it only serves bar food. The clams were fine. I ordered the special for the chicken stew over egg noodles and it was surprisingly good. My boyfriend got the steak and he hated it. He said it was one of the worst steaks he had, and sadly it was recommended to him by our server.

Klees is our go to place at least once a week. Mostly everything we get to eat is really good. Their calamari is cooked perfectly and very tender. Their Reubens are awesome. My fa write is the chicken and eggplant parm meal. Their soups never disappoint either, whether it's the French onion, Manhattan Clam Chowder or their soup of the day. And I don't say this lightly being I am originally from north jersey, but Their pizza is really good. Lastly, Their famous Bloody Mary's on Saturday and Sunday are delicious and almost a meal in themselves.

HEARTBREAKING UPDATE FROM TODAY: 10/1/23 incredibly shocked and dismayed at this evening's order. I won't take away my five stars on your restaurant because this is the only time I've ever been disappointed in the 40 years my mother told me I've been going there cuz I'm 44 in March and tonight I feel like I was insulted when I called to find out why. My new one thing clam chowder was green heartbroken the crab cake appetizer carried so well to my house that I thought I would go blind. My eyes rolled into the back of my head in pure delicious ecstasy just like your french fries. Well I can't put the french fries with the crab cake appetizer but I can put them with the best best fries in seaside in Ocean county and probably anywhere else in the world. Now what the hell is green clam chowder I saw the something you may have been trying out. Reassured it would not be that way if I did not want it to be that way. Call to ask why it was that way and was gas lit by two members of staff with whom I've never had a bad word to say about with or acted in any manner in your establishment that would show differently. And apparently your head chef admits that he doesn't get his orders when he places them because there are no mushrooms in keys to have been put into my green clam chowder. I will be there sometime tomorrow with the soup once it cools that I preserve in the refrigerator because I want to know why why I wanted your clamped out or so bad. It's so damn good and so damn white not freaking green. My heart literally breaks. I don't know if I can continue to call you my favorite place. The only place I bring people who come from wherever in my life to visit and I'm like all you got to try KLEES usually first or second night in town and then we have a nice park seafood dinner and then finish the rest of her family time visiting this localor park seafood please or park seafood My company's usually impressed with the quality of the food that doesn't leave them. Broke to eat there a few nights a week while visiting. Please see me as I see you as an asset to our tiny little town here and explain to me what happened. Thank you! And so hoping to pull in the fluke and not a change in the standards I've come to expect since well my entire life đŸ˜©

Okay Anytime! As a local & I mean local lol we live just a few blocks away its always great to get away & enjoy what our little town used to be. Klee's as always been the place to bring friends from out of town, which results in being the one of the two in town restaurants where the food and staff are always far ahead of the class!! Thanks for providing an great get away so close to home.. See ya again!!.. okay you can now see this is my third review. Why was my Manhattan clam chowder green and after asking to make sure it was not the mushroom version, you are now portraying on your appetizer menu your head chef and bald bartender which is how they describe themselves told me I must be insane because there's no way there's mushrooms in it. I will be in to speak to someone tomorrow with what I ordered at closing because either I was lied to or I was given food that had spoiled. I look forward to seeing you. I hope not to lose my favorite restaurant blocks from my home. I've never been saddened like this. Every time I have you for any meal I make sure to leave a review about the great stuff, the friendly atmosphere, and the amazing food my crab cakes are to die for, but that's soup I may die from. You've gone from five stars in every aspect to me. Wondering if it's 1 stars in staff at the moment or -5 stars in the food and the treatment of me when I asked before I ordered it to make sure I could get it. The original way. Please feel free to respond to this if you are the manager like head manager or owner. Otherwise I will be in tomorrow at some point to show you the disgustingness that I ordered under the name of Anastasia last night because my daughter picked it up for me. Thank you and please let this...

Let me first say that this is, as many have stated, my first review of a restaurant. My family including my wife, my daughter, her husband and 2 grandchildren went here for dinner on September 13, 2015 @ 6pm. The service here is by far the worse experience I have had in my 55 years. The restaurant looked fairly busy and our wait for seating was just what we were told. Our waiter took our order for drinks and brought them back in a timely fashion and proceeded to take our food order. The restaurant looked pleasant, and I must say that the food at other tables looked appetizing. So far so good. Unfortunately this is when everything went down hill. The soda was flat and the waiter never returned to ask if we needed refills. We kept trying to get his attention as we watched 2 other tables get seated, served and one even finished and left. Still no server, still no food. We had been seated about 40 minutes. We finally went and found someone to talk to. The waiter finally came over. We asked was up with our food. He proceeded to tell us that some but not all was ready. We had children with us, small, tired children that were hungry. There grilled cheese had been under a lamp for who knows how long. Suddenly a barrage of wait staff showed up with our food. The food was warm at best, yet the plates were hot, an indication that the food had been under a warmer for a long time. My wife had ordered stuffed mushrooms which were crusty and dried out. When the waiter returned I sent them back. Then the manager comes over, tells us the waiter is new and that she took the mushrooms off the check, like she did me this big favor. My response was "damn strait you took them off". The manager appeared irritated and just kept saying " What more can I say, I'm sorry". It wasn't what she said but the way that she said it. I was so pissed off that I went back to my hotel, who recommended Klee's, and went to sleep. I expected a good experience based on reviews and recommendations, talk about disappointment. This experience was so bad that I feel like a part of my life was taken from me. I wasted two hours on a bad dining experience, lost the rest of the evening when I went strait to bed and now I am giving up more of my life to write this review. Well, obviously I cannot recommend Klee's and will definitely not return. We should have just eaten on the boardwalk. As soon as I am done with this review, check out my second ever review of Bobber's Family Restaurant the next morning which was an...

Leaving my previous review below. In the last 8 weeks not sure what has happened to the place that we have known and went to for the last 13 years. A lot of change in staff; especially with your hostess staff and floor managers has resulted in an absolute disaster. We have walked out on three separate times in the last 8 weeks. How hard is it sit a table of 4 or 6? WE HAVE NEVER HAD SO MANY ISSUES GETTING A TABLE. Being there so many times during a week over the years; it’s not from Klees’s being any busier than it has been in the past few years during this time...check your sales to validate. So many regulars always said;”we come back in October”...now I see why. We do see a lot of the old regulars that we have gotten to know over the years...but it is not at Klees’s anymore...it at another establishment just over the border in SSP. Still will go to breakfast next store because the staff is great; and food and coffee are always good.

*Previous review. Hands down best place in the area. Food and prices are great and below price compared to other establishments in the area. Staff and crowd are great; and definitely a place that is family friendly. Sunday Bloody Marys are the best. Definitely the best staff that you will find anywhere. Two requests...bring back the Klee's fries over the potato skins ( I know it's been years...best they were the best )...and allow bar pies for takeout...bar pie is perfect...
