So.. this place was different.. I rated everything 5 stars, food, service and atmosphere.. buuuuuuut, that's really just because I feel like hey I had to go through it so.. a higher rating might cause you to go through it too and that's funny to me, like trolling funny.
Don't get me wrong though, the food was legit 4.2 I'd say. The service, surprisingly was probably a 4.6! I emphasize that because of the atmosphere. Also bear in mind we went at 11:30 pm on a Friday night, first warm day of the year basically so it was pretty off the hook.
The crowd noise levels were insane. They were doing karaoke and boy.. they'll just let any ol person up on that mic won't they? But oddly the crowd wasn't loud like applause after performances, but just in general loud talking having a great time type loud.
Then after the songs the DJ was like come on everybody give it up for Kevin! And the crowd wasn't responsive at all, very low woooos. This part was the funniest to me the DJ was persistent AF boy! He wasn't letting them get away with that. He'd insist on a bigger roar. Come on everybody give it up for Kevin! Three, four times! My friend and I just giving each other awkward stares like is this real?
It was just... A lot. And having sat down and taken all this in I remember thinking oh the service is gonna be trash for sure and the food quality probably not amazing. But that bartender(they only had one I think?) he was ON POINT! The service was actually top shelf and the food was pretty damn good too!
Sensory overload on the ears, very chaotic crowd but still all good vibes good service and food. Would I go again? Probably not on a weekend but it was definitely a memorable experience and I'm glad we did choose it.
I got the ribeye and a loaded baked potato with asparagus. The brussel sprouts appetizer...
Read moreFriendly, attentive, but not smothering staff. The food was delicious. We ordered medium rare prime rib and it actually came out to us hot and medium rare! My steak was medium rare all the way through, even on the edges, that blew me away. The flavor was excellent. My husband even said "good steak" which is the first time in nearly two years I've heard him say that. I'm gluten free so steakhouses are usually a safe bet. I found my options here to be plentiful and flavorful. I love Brussel sprouts and balsamic glaze and they have an appetizer that has both with bacon and parmesean! Delicious. I do think a finer grate for the parmesean would have been texturaly superior, and the bacon was chewy rather than crunchy but some prefer it that way. That is where my critiques end. Their seasonal veggies were a combo I've never seen before, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Asparagus (the tips were kind of sweet), sweet green beans, and buttery spaghetti squash! Yummy! The mashed potatoes were thick and made of Yukon gold potatoes. And served with a giant, thin, fuschia radish slice as garnish. My husband had onion rings (not gluten free, but if they read this and would like a recipe for similarly tasty gluten free onion rings let me know!). I could hear the crunch of those as he was eating them. He really really enjoyed them. Atmosphere was warm, moody lighting with nothing in your face or causing a glare in the eyeballs, it was enjoyable! And that logo is something else! I'd love to hear the story behind that! We took leftovers of the veggies and reheated them for breakfast and they were very tasty! Our server was Ian and he was excellent. We thought he was management he was so on top...
Read moreHonestly. I feel bad that I have to rewrite this.
The bartender has zero clue how to make any drinks, asked for a vodka cranberry makes a vodka soda.
Ok maybe I misspoke. Asked for a long island on my birthday weekend, topshelf. He hears me and considers to pour monarch into my drink and then I correct him and ask to make another please.
He then remakes my "top shelf long island" as something that is more of a mai tai at best with all rum for someone who's been here for two years....
I ordered a beef stroganoff because I figured the food has always been good. Asked for extra meat. They come out with 4-5 pieces of 1 inch steak cut fairly thin on a regular plate. I asked if the kitchen might have possibly missed the extra meat note?
For being one of the few nice places at seaside I have to say from what it was a few years ago. Their attention to detail has gone to zero and just no care even when the place is dead. Horrid music to have around any kids and just not family friendly in any way.
I regret to say this but I will never be returning after trying to be understanding. It appears they genuinely do not care about quality nor concern for customers.
The largest slap in the face, when I brought up my concerns to the front desk, I got the exact response of "go find someplace better."
That's absolutely unprofessional and assisine!!!!! There's no way these employees care AT ALL about the business. Seriously consider hiring employees who genuinely care about...
