Ok, so I must have been in on an off night.... Last night was off. I was wanting good Italian and thought maybe from the exterior ombiance that this place would be a good choice. Walked in and while taking in the interior and getting a feel for the restaurant I was met by the gentleman who immediately asked if I had ever been here, No was my response. Quickly he explained the process, yet too quick to assume I understood what he said. Next, I see Carbonara (of which I'm on a life quest for the perfect Carbonara) - so, I ordered it. What kind of noodles do you want, said the man behind the counter.... Um, Carbonara noodles please, he was no help, so I suggested spaghetti noodles. I also got a salad too (which is why this is not a 1 star review). Then I seated myself. A few minutes later, this man from the kitchen started yelling my name. At first I thought he was talking to someone in the kitchen, and I was embarrassed (how unprofessional). Then I realized he was yelling at me. So, I get up and quickly get a feeling like I'm in a college cafeteria. I get my food and silver wear and napkins (which were in another area) and found my seat. I took a photo of what I received ($23 total). The Carbonara didn't have egg, peas or other components of a good everything but the kitchen sink Carbonara. No, it was soup with chunks of meat that I thought a dog might not want to eat. I took a bite and al dente was not quite there, the noodles still needed a minute to make it to al dente.... The salad was good, but mostly just lettuce and some cheese chunks. I ate the salad. However, I couldn't eat the remainder of the Carbonara. This Carbonara is classified as the worst I've had in my quest for the perfect one, and that says a lot!!! Going back to the cafeteria comment, you have to bus your own table. So, please know, I don't write many poor reviews, yet this place deserved it - hopefully this is not the norm. I will not be returning and if you are looking for good food, please take heed of this review before you go in. I didn't eat my food, walked down the street and bought a cheeseburger at Dick's and filled the void.... That wasn't what I remember either, but that's a whole...

Read moreFirst off, just ignore any negative reviews of this place. Any negative review of this food (I can only speak to the food quality since I ordered on DoorDash, but no experience or atmosphere could ever deter me from eating here. Never.) is just wrong. It’s no crime to be wrong, but if you are a person that has never tasted authentic Italian food, just stick to the Olive Garden and kindly keep your opinion to yourself.
I have lived in Washington state for nearly seven years now in the suburbs of Auburn and now realize that I had to venture all the way into Seattle to have my prayers answered. I’m an Italian American from the Northeast and have not had my family’s food in literally years. I couldn’t find a spot that tasted like home until this one. I was so happy I could cry. And after finding out it’s run by Italians, I can see why the food is so spectacular. I would rate them higher if I could. Going all the way into Cap Hill for pasta sorta seems crazy to me but it’s seriously worth it. Fresh pasta is the mark of a truly amazing Italian restaurant and Dué hits it. I’m impressed. They also could certainly charge outrageous Seattle prices for something that’s insanely simply but labor intensive to produce, but everything is fairly priced and absolutely worth the money. There’s so much love in this food, I can’t believe anyone would ever dislike it (but there they are, several one star reviews. Madness.) and again, just support this business. This place is going to see much more of me. Molte grazie a tu per aver preparato un cibo...
