Kamal Da Dhaba Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Seattle

I got really hungry so I ordered through Door Dash from this restaurant. The food was delivered as promised, but the mango smoothie was watery and half full, the lamb biryani was good until I crunched into what seems like a pebble in the food, and all of a sudden I got seemingly bony shavings and it was like eating sand. The gulab jamun, naan and samosas were good. Today, I decided to give the restaurant Kamal Da Dhaba and door dash another chance. Like a fool, I ordered from this here restaurant. I ordered the lamb pizza, samosas, gulab jamun and ras malah. The Door Dash driver called me from the restaurant and said they were out of the lamb pizza, and if I would like to reorder something else. I then ordered the lamb curry with rice, and an order of extra rice to offset the dollar difference in price. The food delivered was cold, the lamb curry sauce was very diluted like drinking canned tomato juice. They did not have any gulab jamun but did not ask the Door Dash driver to ask me if I would like something else. Instead I was given an extra piece of ras malah dessert. One small piece for the price of the gulab jamun which which was $2.99. They also gave me a box of potstickers which I did not ask for, but accepted as a kind generosity. Real disappointing. I've always done doordash/Uber eats from here. Food was always 4 stars. Decided to come in.

Pickup: The pickup experience was poor. No eye contact, no thank you, no recognition that we were even there whenever the cook came out.

Chanaa: disasterous. Very few solid chanaa beans. It was almost a puree. Inedible as anything other than a topping. Would not recommend

Biriyani - comparing it to Maharaja, or even Curry n' Kabab, there was almost no protein. The rice itself - we felt like it wasn't fresh, that it was pre made white rice that was spiced - mostly because there was chunks of rice that were white inside when you opened it . Edible. Not pleasurable. Would not order again.

Bhindi: ended up being in that weird is this cooked enough" state. We finished it, but would not order again.

The output from Kamal was not up to it's competitors. I am not happy with what we were served. I'm open to talking to them if they want more personal feedback because I did used to order here as one of my 3 go-to Indian places.

I hope they pick it up and fix their service, it would be a shame to see this place fall...

Ordered food from them. They charged me $2 extra for everything i ordered. When questioned the guy told me that online rates are different than what you pay when you order directly. Food wasn’t good either. So here is the detail: I called and ordered 2 fish pakoras to go. I can still see the price on google as $8.99 each. At checkout the cashier charged $10.99+ tax. When asked, his first excuse was that online is cheaper than in restaurant. Then the very next second he said since i already charged your card and i cannot “reverse” the charge now. So i will give you $4 discount the next time. Why would someone be coming next time when they don’t get the good customer service the first time. This is the first time somebody told me that the online menu is priced less than what the actual price is.
