Woah what a crazy bad experience here. Worst treatment by someone selling biscuits...or anything...I've ever had.
My message to the owners:
Not sure if this is an account managed by the owners of Morsel, but I just had a shockingly bad experience with one of your employees, taller white (I think) guy wearing a trucker hat, wouldn't tell me his name.
The guy got my order wrong and I called back and asked what happened, he started being extremely combative, mimicking my voice and calling me annoying.
I took less than a minute to order, tipped 20 percent and even complimented the biscuits and this guy felt it was appropriate to be verbally abusive to me for no reason. I asked him if he was the owner and he said he "keeps the place running" but wouldn't tell me anything else..
There absolutely should be consequences for this type of behavior, this guy was totally comfortable talking to me like he did and that means hes done this before to others. Totally sociopathic, anti social behavior.
The biscuits are good but as a business you cannot abuse your customers like this. I asked my bank for a refund because he refused to adjust my order or provide my correct order.
I cannot believe I am writing this over a biscuit place but human interactions take place in all ways and this one was really really bad.
Avoid this place, even though their...
Read moreTaste: We ordered the “Cheesy biscuit” which is topped with cheese curds from Beechers and delicious roasted tomato jam. We had this combination on the Cheddar Chive biscuit. The biscuit was perfect and the pairing of the tomato jam and the cheese curds was also great!
Price: A singular serving of the “Cheesy biscuit” was $8.50 which compared to the other items on their menu was a bit expensive for a biscuit topped with just cheese (Other prices are about $2-3 per plain biscuit or $8 for a full breakfast sandwich with eggs & meat). Next time I will probably order something else either more filling or cheaper, but the biscuit itself was delicious so I will definitely be coming back.
Restaurant Atmosphere: Indoor seating was closed (Covid/Staffing shortage), but right across the street there is a community garden with plenty of outdoor seating.
Overall: I’m from the South, so I have had my fair share of good biscuits, and I think Morsel is delicious!...
Read morewife and I were just in town for a few days to drop our freshman off at UW. was tired of the Marriott free breakfast and read reviews of Morsal. I walked up to guy at front door who was taking orders. (dark hair guy with man bun) I told him I wanted to order two breakfasts. he immediately cut me off and said "I don't know what you want". I told him again two breakfasts and started telling him what I wanted. he was one of the rudest people I've ever experienced in a restaurant. I asked him if they had fruit, he said "the menu is on the window, do you see fruit on it". I could not believe this guy.. absolutely no respect for customer..you know, the people paying.. food was ok. biscuits decent, but ordering experience left a very bad taste in our mouths.. this guy needs to either get a new attitude or get out of the service industry. Based on other reviewers, I highly suggest management get rid of him. He's hurting...
