The sandwiches are always so good. We go there a lot. However, today I was confronted with a very rude man who was working there. My husband and I bought two sandwiches and left. After we left, I realized we don't have any napkins (we wanted to eat the sandwiches as we walk). So I went back to grab some napkins but I couldn't find them (this is during the pandemic). So I waited in line to ask him where they are or if he needs to hand them out. When it was my turn, he turned and walked away! And I kept asking him if he can tell me where the napkins are. He still deliberately ignored me. So I had to wave my arms up and down in front of everyone, at that point he had no choice but to answer me but he still didn't look at me and mumbled something behind his mask. Then another costumer who was standing there noticed me and he was the one who showed me where the napkins were (which were behind that customer). This employee was rude and dismissive. We will not go back to Michou Deli anymore. This happened on...

I've told all my coworkers and customers looking for a lunch spot about this place. From their sandwiches to their pies everything looks like it came straight out your gram's feed. I haven't had their sandwiches yet, but my go to is their pasta bakes that change periodically. In the colder times or when the line is way too long in the summer I opt for their soups that change daily. Always check the soup levels before you pay. Great thing about the soup is that you can skip the line and got right to the register and they even have dipping bread. Their chili lime wings are the bomb if you like a bit tang they appear to be dry fried and are nice and crunchy, but on the other hand their buffalo wings could be crunchier although the sauce is really good. The tonkatsu is so crunchy yet moist I wish they had it everyday if they had a katsu sauce I'd straight die. Overall take the time to look at this place I have yet to have anyone regret going their and my coworkers can tell you how many times I've urged them...

Excellent breakfast, locally made sausages, and long strips of crispy bacon perfect Waffles, flaky in house biscuits + wow what was that gravy ? We ate up , think the owner was in that morning, friendly and helpful & affordable, this place was remodded just in the last little while, nice We brought our own java , just enjoyable Be in before 10 am to get best of everything

To Michou's: please be aware having enough to serve atleast in the morning is not only best if you intend to actually have adequate amounts , but says more than just s remodel would ever . We left empty handed at just 30 min past the morning opening,

Update : better breakfast been brought back! including those tasty links eggs were good french toast was there & the syrup to match yes !!

8/31 tasty smells & lines back out the door but plenty being stuffed back into the food cases , it is crowded @ pikes place cruise ships are returning , meals are ready & the espresso is being always made ...

popular spot in a touristy part of the city. They get quite a bit of business. Sandwiches look large in the case but once theyre heat pressed theyre actually not so eye popping. (Lots of misleading photos in the review.) Most of my gripe has to do with density of people and lackluster food experience. I did enjoy the orzo. I think everything on their menu would benefit from balsamic vinegar. Prices were fair but ive found better value meals in the same area. I would not come again unless the line was nonexistent. I think there are more authentic deli’s in the capitol hill area if youre really looking for a deli counter experience. (Person running the front said our food would be right out but after maybe 5-6 minutes we started seeing customers who ordered after us receiving their food; our orders had been sitting behind the worker and they never noticed until we asked)
