During my recent visit to Mighty Old Donuts, I tried the cinnamon sugar donut, a classic choice for any donut. Unfortunately, my anticipation was met with disappointment. The donut had a noticeable chemical taste, which left an unwelcome aftertaste that overshadowed the subtle sweetness and spice one would expect from cinnamon sugar.
The texture didn't help; the matter was somewhat dry, making it a challenge to enjoy the donut fully. It was too late to finish, which is unusual for me, especially when indulging in a sweet treat.

There's a limited selection of donuts. The donuts are good but unexceptional (I would not go out of my way to get my donut fix from them), they serve coffee, and the staff are uber friendly. There's a few chairs and a stretch of desk by the store window if you want to eat in.
It's the closest donut place to the library downtown so that is another upside to the place (donuts and a good book go perfectly well...
