First time ordering from here. The sauce of the Butter chicken dish was a 5/5; the chicken was white meat and a little too dense and hard for a top shelf butter chicken. With chicken, the dish was about a 4/5. Also tried the chicken biryani which was probably a run-of-the-mill flavored rice dish - nothing like a real biryani - 3/5. (Some Restaurants call it a pan-fried biryani - which is not really a biryani. Unless the rice and meat are cooked together, it’s not a biryani. Those that do this well, will cook it in bulk and serve it up in single-portions but I got yanked into ordering this dish and almost wish that I didn’t. Also ordered the lamb butter masala - the lamb was tender and the sauce was the same sauce as that of the butter chicken - which is understandable. Probably a 4/5. Finally, my favorite on the menu was the malai Kofta - a 5/5. Perfect koftas and hearty full-flavored sauce. Will definitely order this again. Garlic naans also a 5/5 - nothing out of the world but nothing bad about it either.

The food here tastes alright, I have a love and hate relationship with this place, I love it for convenience, and their fast service, but the taste is lacking. Recently I ordered the Malai Kofta, and Paneer Tikka masala, with Aloo naan. The two entrees tasted almost similar, the only distinction was one had more cream, was sweeter (I ordered 5* spice for both). The aloo naan was ok, (needs even filling). I have also tried their Veggie biryani and that is good. Indian food is hard to get right, and really easy to spot where it went wrong. Although the food did not taste bad, it bugged me. For a non-Indian this place might be a great starting point for ordering Indian takeout. The food gave me the impression that they are making apologetic food, Indian food has bold flavors (sometimes unforgiving), which i agree some people won't be able to handle, which might be bad for business, but that has stripped the pride from it.

Weird how the name keeps changing. Went here a couple times and the service was always a little weird. The food was good though so we returned. This time it was not good. We ordered veg samosas, rice, palak paneer and garlic naan. Our naan was burnt to a crisp. The Palak paneer was bitter and was not the spice level 2 we asked for- it was extremely hot. It did not taste good. Something was off. The naan was bitter as well. The rice was dry and possibly stale. The Samosas were stale on the outside and doughy on the inside. They had no seasoning like they used to. This used to be our go-to place :( sad we won’t be returning after that waste of money and poor treatment from the workers.

Went to Spice Bliss foot truck at Boren Ave around SLU(first time). Placed my order of butter chicken which costs 12.99 before tax. After making the payment I stood there waiting for the tip screen to show up. But as soon as the payment was made, the cashier who I guess goes by the name Jagminder Singh (going with what I found on my refund receipt) immediately took back nfc machine almost too abruptly which felt a bit weird at that point. And mentioned “this is your order number and we’ll let you know once the food is ready”. At this point I was like that’s something new maybe this is one of those businesses that don’t encourage or expect tips fine. Then I looked at my phone to see what exactly the meal cost me and it was exactly 16.46. I did some quick math on my head and realized around 20% tip amount was involuntary added to my order. I was kinda disappointed but didn’t worry too much as that’s my usual tipping range. When was my order ready I casually asked if the meal amount displayed on the board is accurate to which the same cashier replied yes. Then I told him that I see the final amount on my card to be 16.46 and I don’t remember dealing/seeing (I know for sure just trying to be polite) the tipping page and enquired what could be the reason. It’s very important to remember a couple of things here i maintained a very pleasant and casual tone here and wasn’t holding the line up (no was waiting to order)

His response was that I had selected to 2.6 dollars. My response was very jovial (remember I’m disappointed not pissed off) and told him that I never dealt with the tipping page infact I was waiting for the screen to show up before you took it back inside your truck. At this point his lack of customer skills or lets say social skills came into light. He bluntly replied “No you had selected the option if not how come the tip amount would be added”. I mean if you preselected it or selected it on my behalf it would be added. I had this thought going on in my head. But didn’t say it cause it would be rude to accuse people and i chose to give him the benefit of doubt. Back to my actual response “I very clearly remember not seeing the tipping page and the order counter only when you said your order will be ready in a few and sent me off” Now he decided to mansplain how the tipping system or software. Seriously I mean you are explaining how the software works to someone who has built systems for half their entire life (again didn’t say my thoughts but maybe my expression could have given it away) At this point i realized this person has no customer issue management skills nor does he have sensibility to have a civil conversation. So I decided to exercise my refund option and left the spot having totally wasted my time waiting for the order.

I would like to finish this review with one unsolicited advice someone gave me a while back which is “A business with a great product may or may not succeed. But a business with poor customer service is almost guaranteed to run out...

Doesn't include utensils with takeout food, so when I went on a dinner date with a girlfriend -- we rode a couple scooters with our food to a lookout point by Harborview to eat, only to take out the food and discover there was nothing to eat it with nor any napkins. We then repacked our food and I was forced to throw out my already overpriced Coca-Cola I'd just opened to drink with the dinner, in order to be able to drive our scooters back to the restaurant for utensils where I was given no replacement beverage and only one utensil set along with a side dish of attitude and no apology even though we'd ordered quite a large order with more than one entree, appetizers, beverages etc. Our business obviously isn't appreciated nor the hassle we endured. Upon my second visit where I came on my own and decided to give it another shot, I ordered my usual dish right before closing, yet was given something else. The meat was not what I ordered, nor the spices, and the different flavors weren't good and hastily mixed. I've had many Indian foods and it seemed like too many things mixed together which made a bad taste. It was not what I ordered so I left it for the homeless at the bus stop adjacent to the corner of the college property nearby. I was saddened because I even said something prior to leaving the restaurant requesting he please check my order because it wasn't marked properly, and he said to disregard the mistake and reassured me the food was what I wanted. I won't be returning and my dinner date won't either. She was very dissatisfied and we only had a short time together which was spent paying for scooters to drive around in the freezing night, rather than eating our dinner at the lookout point like we wanted. Before she had to go, I attempted to eat some of my dinner but no longer had anything to drink with it so I just had to forfeit my meal after eating just a few bites, and she took it home to give to her boyfriend. It wasn't an enjoyable experience for either of us to the point I remember her saying she'd leave a bad review but I'm not sure if she has or not. While some of the food may be good, it doesn't seem to be customer service oriented from our experiences and the extra attitude and inconveniences aren't...

Little spice and very little bliss at this business.

The food is overpriced for what you get. It is extremely watered down and short on the main ingredients.

We were there with 4 adults. The place is a little hole in the wall with 6 stools to sit inside to eat. The menu looked good. We had 4 entrees. They all were very different, but they all had one thing in common: lots of water in these dishes. All four entrees had the consistency of watery soup. They may wanted to rename the place overpriced Soup bliss/box? My daal tadka was like soup. So was the #41 makini, #27 Mango Curry and the tikka masala. 4 soups. One dish had some tiny lamb pieces in the "soup" and another dish had a bit of shrimp.

The rice that came with all entrees was good so were the 2 Mango lassis we had. If there was a next time, I order rice and a Mango lassi... But there will not be a next time.

They put everything in a take out bag, when we were eating there. While the taste was bland ok, the food was very watered down and short on shrimp and lamb. It wasn't worth near the $89 we paid. There are better options up the street.

Also. the food is not spicy. Two in our party ordered 5 star hotness, both commented it was not close to 5 star,...
