This place is wonderful! The owner who was working was clearly so passionate about the place and wanted to make sure everything was great.
We each did the bagel flight so we could try a bunch of different ones and they were incredible! We tried all 6 and here were our thoughts:
Lox: delicious - wish there were capers and slightly less pickled onions - lemon zest was a great touch
Smoked cado: awesome but we wanted there to be more avocado and feta and slightly less pickled onions
The instanbul: great combination of flavors if you love hummus
Pear and honey: spectacular - loved everything about it. Might be interesting flavor to add a touch of gorgonzola cheese into the cream cheese spread?
Labnah and honey: simple but delicious - a bit bitter (which is to be expected) so don't recommend ending on this one but it was a good experience.
Fig and honey (I think): really fantastic. Wouldn't change a thing.
Mocha and honey cardamom latte: Decent, but not on par with a coffee place.
Turkish coffee: Awesome and paired well with the instanbul hummus flavor.
I would definitely go back - our favorites were the smoked cado, the lox, the fig and honey and the pear and honey.
The vibe was great but very crowded and hard to find seating. One bathroom always had a wait.
Highly recommend you go for a visit and as someone who volunteers with immigrants and refugees when they first arrive, it is lovely to see an example of an American dream...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give Toasted Seattle more than 5 stars, I would. This isnāt just a cafĆ© ā itās a place run by people with the kind of heart and character you rarely find anymore.
One story sums it up: I once walked in on a busy day and realized I had forgotten my card. My order was about $26, and I told them Iād cancel and grab my card. Instead, the owner walked over, smiled, and said, āDonāt worry about it.ā He handed me my food and coffee for free. The next day, I came back determined to pay for both orders ā he still refused. Who does that nowadays? Almost no one. That simple act of kindness left a lasting impression on me.
The food and coffee are absolutely top tier ā their bagels are unmatched, and the whole menu is amazing. But what sets Toasted apart isnāt just the food, itās the people behind it. The owners are some of the most genuine, generous, and kind human beings Iāve ever met.
I live 20+ miles away, but this is still my go-to spot in Seattle. Not just because the food is incredible, but because it feels good supporting people who treat their customers with such respect, generosity, and genuine care.
Toasted Seattle isnāt just a cafĆ©, itās a reminder that good people still exist. Thank you for serving the community with both amazing food and even more...
Read moreReally surprised that this place has near-perfect reviews. I don't like being negative but I feel like I should share my bad experience so people can be warned and the establishment can improve their offerings. I got a smoked cado and cappuccino, and my fianceé got classic lox and an iced latte. The actual salmon was tasty but that's where the positives end. The latte and cappuccino were very easily the worst we've had in Seattle, like something we'd expect from McDonalds or a gas station. We were so confused because they tasted so bizzare, like a watered down syrupy coffee-flavored milk. Neither of us drank more than a few sips, and we couldn't finish our bagels either because they were not good. They were tough and dense, and the toppings were very bland (except the lox!). Even though mine was called Smoked 'Cado with smoked feta and smoked sea salt, I got zero smoke flavor, which I know sounds nitpicky but avocado and feta are such subtle flavors, so without the smoke tastes there was no flavor except the pickled onions. I usually like pickled onions but here it was the only flavor and it just became a sour mush on top of a hard bagel. I feel bad writing all this, but I wish someone had warned me before I spent $40 on this meal that we really...
