Decent place. The food and atmosphere is good - and I've enjoyed coming here the times I have. Today was different since the Kraken had finished playing and people started trickling in.
Unfortunately, I don't think folks have a sense of personal space since I was waiting by the register and one person just kept coming closer and closer with his group of friends till I was literally standing right next to the kitchen. I think he was on edge to get an order in before me despite me having waited and then left when he realized I wasn't going to budge.
Then another old man came by and didn't get that I was standing there and literally kept bumping me (full court press) to pay for his beer even though I didn't even cash out and sign my receipt. This dude literally stepped into my space and pushed me out (and seemed super anxious to pay for his beer despite me having waited there the whole time). Some super entitled and rude people come here with no respect for another's boundaries - I think I know why but won't be politically correct for me to say over a public review but this behavior is certainly apparent and all too common for a certain 'entitled' demographic and makeup in Seattle (the rules for thee not for me crowd of a certain lineage). Won't be coming back here often for this reason. Uncomfortable and unpleasant...
Read moreRelaxed atmosphere and although I've only been twice seems like a solid group of regulars. The beer selection is large and the appetizers and the food is good pub/bar fare. Ok happy hour as well. It's a nice small quiet alternative to the beer hall or Buckley's if in lower lower Queen Anne (lower uptown?) like a modern Cheer's the food has gotten better and better! They aren't stingy with the Food - Nice Probe Portions. Lots of smokers out on the sidewalk if that bothers you. Great beer selection. I prefer it to many of the alternates just more relaxed and "real" compared to the bar...
Read moreGreat beer selection (24 taps), wine & spirits and my go-to spot before Climate Pledge events (especially for drinks.) Unfortunately, it's also a lot of people's go-to spot so it can get very, very busy during events. They don't take reservations but they do have a side room that can be booked-out for 12-20 people.
The food is solid - chips/salsa, dips, nachos, wings, sandwiches & flatbreads. All good items for sharing. They have a load of TVs and have always been very helpful putting on games upon request.
21+, free trivia on Thursday, open early (with breakfast) for NFL Sunday....
