Super disappointed in how my party of 3 was treated at this place. They were an hour of closing and had the chairs already placed upside down on the vacant tables. There were 2 girls working and one of them begrudgingly took our order but when we asked if we could eat there since there were already customers eating at other tables, we were told no and we’d have to get it to go. (It was pouring rain and we walked there from our campsite so carrying food back wasn’t ideal.) The girl was writing our orders and then just left her station and went to the adjoining restaurant to put the chairs upside down on the tables, instead of continuing to take our order. We were standing there wondering what she was doing. Then they spoke to each other in another language about us (I’m guessing) while we stood there, so we left without getting anything. It was so bizarre. Why even start taking our order? Why would you just walk off and leave a customer standing there? If you're not supposed to wait on customers when you close in an hour then turn off your "Open" sign. I can’t speak on the food but I will say that we left because of the super rude treatment from the staff.
I won’t be back, ever...and not because I’m a tourist as I’m a lifelong Alaskan. I’m still in disbelief in how we were treated. And if a manager or owner of this place reads this review and wants to offer something to make it right, I’m not interested. I won’t ever go there...
Read moreI'm rating this place a little high due to the child like reviews. Yes pizza is thin but ours was soft and not really that thin. Some pieces were soggy but other restaurants intentionally do that so I am use to it. This pizza is above average. Not the world's greatest pizza, but give it a shot when you visit Steward.
Yes they have to cook your food and yes you have to wait. It's almost like Subway. Depending on the tourism, which they can't control, it can be slow. (Here is an idea. Don't travel.) They place the toppings on, right in front of you. Then it takes 2-3 mins to cook. One person works your pizza and can move onto the next like at subway. If a second employee is there than great. May not always be the case.
I tried the large pepperoni which was really good. I also had a small half and half. Half buffalo chicken and half all meat. I literally had all the meat. Except ham. They forgot because I asked for all of them and it was looking a little ridiculous so they didn't put the ham on. Normally it's just 3 meats. The sausage, bacon, pepperoni, and chicken all tasted good.
If you get gluten pizza.....what are you going to think it tastes likes? Unless you have celiac disease. Hop off the hipster train and stop drinking seltzers as...
Read moreLet's face it. It's conveyer belt pizza to the likes of a Dominos and Papa Johns. I called ahead to order a large pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. I arrived a little over an hour after the phone call and I can tell they had no sign of my order. They were calling out order numbers for pizzas no one was claiming. Tensions were rising. At this point I was waiting over a half hour....1.5 hours since the phone in order and claimed one of the mystery pizzas that wasn't meant for me just so I can get out of there. There is no good system in place to withstand heavier influx of orders. The staff were confused but trying to be nice as they could understanding the frustrations. I walked back a cold and floppy pizza back to our hotel for $22. I wish I could have the time and calories back. I hope they figure out a way to come up with a...
