We visited for breakfast during Memorial Day weekend after seeing a friend post a photo of the Deckhand. My wife and I had the Deckhand, our teenage boy had the breakfast burrito. The food was fresh and hot. The Deckhand was good, neither my wife nor I were crazy about the onions. They were a bit soggy but powerful in onion flavor. I wish there had been a bit more of the sauce as the couple bites I had with less onion and more sauce were great. Our teen really liked the breakfast burrito. We will be back to try something else for breakfast tomorrow. There is only one table and no seating out of the rain. Fun to watch the boats in the harbor while eating. Overall, good food, you will enjoy.

Fun and creative breakfast foods served here until around 2:00 p.m. There are not many places I would go to for breakfast food because it is so easy to make at home, but on this Alaska trip to Seward, I was blown out of the water by the flavors and creativity of the food truck! I ordered a sandwich that was a croissant filled with scrambled eggs and pork sausage and it was flavored and cooked to a T. I very much enjoyed this dish and would also highly recommend the Stuff Your Porthole. We got the 1/2, and it was A LOT of food- would recommend sharing! But very tasty!!!

This place is beyond 5 stars, this is galaxy level! Things you will hear in line: “I’ll see you tomorrow,” “I walked back to my car, ate, and came back for another,” “is this what heaven tastes like?” Truly incredible spot. The Deckhand sandwich is a must. The cheese and sriracha solo are killer! Two strips of sexy bacon and a crispy sausage patty….my mouth is watering writing this review. I would panhandle here just for a sandwich. Go to Seward just for this sandwich. Ambiance is great. Will not disappoint and you

My family stopped on the way to our days excursion. We ordered and the staff was very friendly. That’s about all the good I can say about my experience. First they forgot our orders completely. We waited for almost an hour. We had time to spare when we got to the harbor and we were running by the time we finally told them they forgot us. They never would’ve known despite having ticket numbers. When we finally did get our food we didn’t have time to get the orders fixed. One sandwich came without any meat on it, one barely came at all. Then they informed us AFTER I paid, that they were out of gluten free buns for my wife. So my wife and I are now on a boat tour for eight hours and she had to give the sandwich to my mother who was sans sausage. The food we got was fantastic but not worth the hassle. I sincerely hope someone was just having an off morning because if not then the people of Seward must be much more tolerant than the rest...

Awesome food, awesome service, great value! I’ve tried all the options and the Porthole outperforms them all. I came for a week, ate everywhere, and left convinced that next time I’m in Seward, winter, summer, spring, or fall, I won’t waste my time anywhere else! The “Bun Mi” special was filling, savory, crisp, and fresh. The pork chili was thick, cheesy, and flavorful. My tipster told me to throw tradition to the wind and try their breakfast burrito for lunch - I’ll be back for more! An oasis in a winter-time food dessert and a major player for best on the Peninsula no matter the category or season. Can’t wait...
