Nature's Nectars — Restaurant in Seward

As a full time Alaskan resident from the northern interior, I often find myself on road trips down to the coast often for fishing per season. This business has one of the best spiced chai's. It is to die for. It's haunted my waking moments for the last four years straight since I had the pleasure of ordering it.

Every time I find myself in seward, I have to order a spiced chai. It took my breath away with the level of spice the first time and ever since, it's been my favorite location in the entire state for that specific drink. No one else makes a spicy spiced chai quite like them.

Last year when I was in Seward, they were out of the spiced chai back in late June. I'll be back again this year for the Salmon run and in search of the holy grail of spiced chai's since I woke up this morning...

So, I arrived in Seward yesterday and asked about great coffee and heard about Nectar and got the BEST latte (cinnamon and vanilla, with oat milk, yum!) That evening I was already planning on going back. This morning I put my order in and got a call saying our boat was leaving early, and had to head out and let them know they could give it to someone else. These wonderful ladies made my latte and actually walked over and got it to me!! It was of course just as fabulous as yesterday, but even better was meeting these two ladies who showed me such kindness. Please visit their shop, you won't be disappointed!! We were going to get lattes but then we saw the dark chocolate that goes into the drinks (house made, if I’m not mistaken). We switched to dark chocolate mochas, although I don’t normally drink sweet coffee beverages, and this was hands down the best mocha I have ever had. Perfect in every way, and not overly sweet. I’ve never drank a hot drink that fast. I immediately regretted not ordering two. The flavor of the espresso itself was also amazing. I wish I was staying in Seward so I could order it again!!
