Posting this here from Tuesday since I sent it to corporate and haven't heard back. Pretty sure they're hoping the Bengals don't win a single game this season...
I had been looking forward to the Who Dey promo yesterday when the special was BOGO on sandwiches. The location nearest me, Hartwell on Vine Street, was not accepting online orders despite the requirement that the special had to be used online. Their phones were busy as well so I dropped in around 8 p.m. and asked about the special. I was told that they were no longer offering it since they had become backed up. So I went to my car and finally found a location accepting online orders... Most were not. I placed my order with the promo code and it was to be ready at 9:13 p.m. (give or take, according to the site). I arrived at Kemper around 9:20 and waited in line for about 20 minutes before I arrived at the pick up counter to be told that my order was not in the system and they had a book of papers with customer's names and numbers for a refund. If you all could not handle the promo offered to customers, you should not have run it. I requested that they just make the sandwiches that I have already ordered and paid for as I am sure if given the order number, all could be settled up on the back end. OR if there were issues with online ordering, an alternative in-house discount should have been offered.. I was later told that another location was able to do this. Somehow, all human brains at Penn Station were disabled with the use of an electronic ordering system. It baffles me that you all are 100% reliant on computers so much so that there was no backup plan should this fail as miserably as it did. How are you the official hometown sub of the Bengals, your workers are wearing Reds t-shirts and you completely fail during the only opportunity to live up to your honorary name? There are 7 more Sunday Bengals games left in the season. That means you all have 7 times to get this together provided the Bengals bring home the W. Given how this went, I am assuming that you never expected to have to honor this promo. A sandwich is about $10, fries are $5 and you all did not have the financial and IT capacity to support a promotional offer? In 2024?? Last I checked, the charge was pending on my card. It needs to be off and with additional credit for driving to a location far from my home only for the order not...
Read moreafter handling money, the employees don't glove up or wash their hands at this restaurant. both of the woman employees working on 9/13 at the kemper location across from tricounty mall.. I watched both of them accept money from customers, then turn around WITHOUT washing their hands and started handling food. when I asked about their systematic approach to prevent bacterial transaction.. she dismissively said they all go through the oven and that takes care of it (but what about the customers that say they want a cold cut sandwich - which IS an option on the menu -not a special request).. would you put a handful of old coin in your mouth, fresh from circulation? should I accept a sandwich that has been fingered on by unwashed hands, exposed to the bacteria and fecal matter shrouding all money in circulation?
I left my sandwich there on the counter still in the wrapper after the lady tried to rebuttal me into a different opinion regarding the factors involved when evaluating a facility's ability to systematically prevent the spread of bacteria. Ill eat at penn station again when they mandate the wearing of gloves and hair nets.. along with thorough training of employees in recognizing when dirty-nasty-money touches their hands and how to get the germs off.. like with .....
Read moreSo I tried again at the same location to order for lunch and ended up with the littlest LARGE chix hoagie and burnt, old, yucky fries! The chicken was nothing like a chicken hoagie should be and was the sloppiest bag of food ever!! Sorry but I won’t be returning to this store or DoorDash or Uber eats. Really disappointing when u have 30 mins to eat at lunch and you pay $23 for this!
UPDATE: Mike was very prompt in addressing this issue. He reached out immediately and took care of the issue. Thanks again! I also updated my stars. Customer service received outweighs the bad fries.
I spent $15 not including my delivery fee for a small sandwich and fries. The fries were the WORST ever. Overcooked and 2 seperate batches(see pics). They tasted like burnt oil because i had to eat being i was at work or go hungry the rest the day.The sandwich was the smallest $9 sandwich j have ever order from penn station. I worked for penn station in high school and unless the company expectations changed or they overlook lack of quality, we would never serve our customers this. People work hard for their money and already paying outrageous prices. Why do this to...
