I walked into Panda Express and received no greeting, but that’s expected these days—customer service often feels like “eat here or don’t.”
As I looked around, I noticed a female worker sweeping, another employee stirring food at the counter, and two cooks working at the stove and fryer. The worker stirring the food was wearing a headset. He saw me approaching but immediately walked away to the drive-thru station. Meanwhile, I heard the broom being attached to the dustpan, and the female worker walked over to take my order.
Before ordering, I asked her to wash her hands since she had just been sweeping. Even with her mask on, I could tell she was irritated. Instead of responding to my request, she simply repeated, “What can I get for you?” I then asked for the manager if she wasn’t willing to wash her hands. Without a word, she turned and walked toward the drive-thru area, disappearing behind a wall. About ten seconds later, she reappeared, clearly annoyed, and took my order with an attitude.
As she rang up my order, her tone remained dismissive, and it became clear that she was upset over a simple request for proper hygiene. At that point, I had no interest in continuing the transaction. I left and reported the incident to the manager, who assured me that he would address the issue.
Like I mentioned in the beginning, this is the state of customer service today—take it...
Read moreWhen we arrived, the drive thru line was around the building. It wasn't clear if the lobby was open for takeout, which would have been helpful, however the line moved quickly. Our food was hot, fresh and delicious. Only improvements that could have been made were the following: 1) We ordered a Bigger Plate with double Black Pepper Steak and Chicken Terriaki. They put one portion of the double Black Pepper Steak in the box with the rice and chicken and the other portion in the small box. In the past, they have put both portions in the box with the rice and the chicken in the small box. This makes a great deal more sense, because as it was, the chicken was swimming in the black pepper sauce. 2) Extremely stingy on the soy sauce. 3 plates and 1 bigger plate and they gave us 2 packets. 3) Forgot a fortune cookie. This happens often at this location. I understand that it's just a cookie, but we enjoy reading them out loud as a family once we finish our meal. Friendly staff, quick service and excellent food. Attention to just a few details would make this a 5 star...
Read moreGET READY FOR THIS..It beats any previous bad experience at this restaurant. I placed an online order, arrived to the drive through, I gave her my name, she comes back and tells me it was already picked up. No one knew I had ordered food. No one I know picked up my food. She said it was picked up and that's it, no other options. I said I paid for the meal and I don't have the meal. She said she couldn't help me. I went inside spoke with mgr. Who had a similar attitude. When I asked if they gave my order to someone who gave my name or order#? Nope, it was openly accessible in their pickup section for anyone to come and get their stuff no questions asked. Foolhardy. The Mgr asked to see my conformation. Which I provided, and she put together my order. This is the worst place I've ever eaten. By now I had lost my appetite, when I did eat the food it was dry, stale and hard to swallow. If I hadn't had balance on a gift card I prob wouldn't have chosen...
