When we arrived at Doc’s we waited at least 3 minutes at the door before going up to the bar to ask about getting a seat. We were told we could sit outside and someone would be right out. I had my service dog with me so we sat outside on the patio. Once we sat ourselves, my husband waited another 10 minutes before even going back inside to see about a waiter. We were told someone would be right out. We waited another 10 minutes before I went inside and was immediately told (by what would have been our waitress) that someone would be right out to help us… she has to get another waiter because she was allergic to dogs. Cool… whatever — no problem.
We waited another 5 minutes before our waitress came out. Everything was fine. She came out, took our drink order… took another 5-10 minutes for her to bring our drinks out. We were on a time limit so when she brought our drinks out… we went ahead and ordered. Took about 25-30 minutes to get our order. The food was delicious but we’d asked for extra ranch for our wings and it literally took 15 minutes for our waitress to get it. My husband was livid (because we’d already been there an hour by the time we ordered our food). He ended up going inside (while we waited for her to bring the extra ranch he’d asked for) to get the ranch. While he was inside, she finally brought the ranch to us — she’d been talking to another table the whole time. Also, when she brought the ranch, i’d asked her for a water.. Once my husband got back over to our table, he said that he saw our waitress and when she came back into the restaurant, he saw her sit down having a [alcoholic] drink and start talking to another employee. So another 5 minutes went by before she brought out the water I’d asked for.
We ate our food.. all was good … When she finally came back out to ask if we needed anything we just went ahead and ask for the check. She brought it out, my husband gave her his card, she then proceeded to walk over to a lady that was outside smoking and talk to her having a personal conversation using foul language every other word. My husband finally politely interrupted her telling her we were ready to go. She then leaned over saying something to the lady who was smoking. Another 10 minutes went by and she brought the receipt for us to sign. The whole time her and the smoking lady kept looking back at his giving us nasty looks.
Honestly, for a first impression, our experience was terrible. We will never set foot in this...
Read moreLet me start by saying I have been a customer of Doc's since I moved to the Smyrna area back in 2005. The quality and service has gone downhill progressively over the years. I met a couple of friends for drinks tonight and my friend ordered a grilled chicken ceasar salad. When her salad arrived the chicken was not thoroughly cooked so she sent it back and also asked for the croutons to be added because they were missing. When she received the salad the second time they had added the croutons in addition to more cheese and more dressing. There was so much dressing on the salad that the lettuce was no longer crunchy because it was soggy. She at that point didn't want it anymore and sent it back. A while later my other friend had ordered 20 wings and requested them to be crispy being that the chicken on our other friends salad was undercooked. The wings came to our table in around 5 minutes after we place the order which was a red flag. The wings were not thoroughly cooked so my friend went to find the manager. The manager came to or table and proceeded to tell me the wings were cooked, that they do not guarantee crispy wings, that I could bite into the wings to see if they were done and if not he would make me a new batch and lastly he stated that I could order something different and that he would not bring me any more wings. There are a few problems with his lack of a solution. First, I am the customer and I asked for crispy wings and it stayed crispy on my ticket. I want what I ordered and paying for. Secondly, why is a manager even suggesting to bite into the wings to see if they are done. Thirdly, any other place you order wings in Atlanta are cooked to order. It doesn't make sense to me why he offered to make a new order for me when all I wanted was my wings to be dropped it in the oil for a few more minutes. When I asked for them to he redropped he said he has other tickets to take care of so to me it seems like they do not value mine or my friends business so we asked for our check and left. As for the waitress we had, she had come back to our table multiple times to remind her of what we had ordered. One time, ok but multiple times is not. This whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully the owners see this post and correct the issues we had tonight because I would like to one day go back for a...
Read moreI have been going here for over 15 years. On last Sunday my sister and I decided to go to what we call our GA Cheers where everyone knows your name. When we got there it was early because we wanted to make sure we got good seats for the game. We went to the bar got our first drink as normal and cashed out.when we went to find our seats, my sister asked the waitress was a table available. The waitress didn’t seem like she wanted to be there and provided my sister with a half answer to her question. When we sat down at a table finally the waitress came over to make sure we had cash out with our drinks at the bar, my sister ensured her that we did. After the waitress just kept walking back and forth never acknowledging us as customers. After a while I went back to the bar to put our food order in bc that was the reason we came early to get what we needed before the game. After the witness never even came to ask us if we wanted water. I asked to speak with the manager, once I explained the situation to him. He took her side and never said that he would speak to her or anything, just Told us as customers even if she was being rude to us that since we ordered our food from the bar that we had to move and find somewhere else to seat, and he would watch the video. We were very disappointed about the service we received and the manager never came back to inform us if he watched the video or not.We both felt bc we were copper colored Sisters and they were Caucasian, that it was racial profile against us, and our feels was hurt bc we had never received this kind of service here. When even witness other people leave due to the waitress Attitude, I don’t plan on visiting this establishment any longer, I will take my business elsewhere. Our hearts was broken. I was always thought that customers is always right even when they are not that is why I am one of the highest Performance at my place of business, Even with being treated like this, I didn’t get nasty with the waitress or the manager. I only wanted clarification why we were treated like that. Have a great...
