This review is based on numerous visits to this specific store on Williston Road in South Burlington Vt. This morning, I ordered breakfast via the app. Got to the store at around 7:15 AM (I believe they open at 7:00) and there was a handwritten sign on the door indicating that they would not be opening until 8:30. I understand that restaurants are short staffed, people get sick or there are emergencies - thus impacting service. What I don't understand is how an order can be placed on their app without indicating that the store will not be open. Wasted my time and as far as I can tell, my credit card was still charged for food I did not receive.
This particular McDonalds is convenient - on my way to work. However, I have had problems with the service over the years, hence the 2-star rating. It is often dirty - the fountain station frequently has dried/sticky syrup on the lid dispenser, napkin dispenser empty and there is trash strewn on the floor - I'm usually there right after they open, and it appears that the night crew has problems cleaning.
Staff have often been rude/unfriendly - I've had my bag essentially thrown on the counter and told "here it is" in a gruff tone on more than one occasion.
For these reasons, I am simply not going to go to this particular store any longer. If I'm craving something from McDonalds, I'll just head to the one on Park Drive...
Read morePains me to write this because this is usually my go to McDonald’s. I am a frequent customer as well as a doordash driver who comes here often, I had an order tonight that was supposed to be picked up at 11:30, went in a couple minutes early and waited till about 11:35 (they were busy so wanted to give a couple extra minutes) to ask about the order, the girl at the counter I asked about it says “oh somebody probably grabbed it on accident” then walks away. I’m assuming at this point she’s going to check on my order for me, I don’t hear another word from a staff member for TWENTY FIVE more minutes, 12 o’clock, 30 minutes AFTER my order is supposed to be picked up. At this point my customer has texted twice to ask where their order is and I now have a negative review on my account. My customer cancelled the order at 12:05 as the girl at the counter was putting the order back through the computer for them to remake it. I am not somebody that ever writes reviews in fact this is the third review I’ve written in my 22 years of living, im not sure if it’s that they’re understaffed or that the staff they do have just aren’t competent but my god has this place gone down the drain in the past...
Read moreFirst thing to know is that this location does not have a drive through; this isn't McDonald's doing, it's the law for the area. I was in desperate need of comfort food after traveling all day and this was the closest location. I had no problem ordering my food, but while waiting, I was not impressed. There were three staff members in the kitchen that appeared to be goofing off the whole time. Goofing off as in they didn't care for their jobs, so why care about customers food. At one point it appeared that someone's burger was done; a staff member pushed it towards the counter staff and it fell on the floor. The manager was present, and rather than stepping in to be constructive or pose as a role model, they were highly critical and yelled at the staff. I may be picky regarding food service due to working in restaurants in the past, but I walked away from this location knowing I'd never return again. Food was decent, but then again I was starving and had over an hour drive home. I later learned from a friend local to there that this is the worst location...
