SO disappointed. I live here in Park City and this is one of our go to restaurants. Crave their pad thai ! Hadn’t been there in a little bit though and having gone tonight for dinner was not a good experience To say the least.:( . We came early and there were no other guests yet. Apparently ownership has changed.? We loved the waitress that we always had before, this was obviously family and really cared about their customers and their food. I ordered pad Thai tonight and half of the chicken was actually cold. I also ordered extra chicken, and paid for extra chicken, and they didn’t even put enough chicken on for ONE serving much less extra. I had ordered a side of chili sauce in case I wanted more heat- that didn’t happen. My boyfriend had the basil crispy chicken and although the flavor was good, it was lukewarm and the chicken was tough. We expressed our issues with the waiter, Wilson, and although he apologized he didn’t offer anything to make it better, nor did the chef come to ask how we were and what could he do…lame lame lame. Even the napkins are now paper!!! seriously? for the prices ? We used to be able to come in in the evening and say could we have pork eggrolls, instead of vegetarian and we would be accommodated. This was not an option tonight (he just looked at us like are you kidding we made these days ago how can we possibly put pork in them?) So we didn’t order any appetizers. Also used to have the option of having a large or small sake. Now there’s only one size; obviously so that if you want a little bit more you have to buy TWO whole sakes instead of just a larger amount of ounces. All around disappointing, especially as it’s so hard to find a place here that you can count on. We’re actually sad. Boooo on you Glyn Thai. I cannot recommend anymore. Don’t bother listening to past reviews as they are...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, but it’s hard when a funky smell hits you right when open the door. The server was so kind and on point, and he’s the reason for 3 stars instead of 1. Like I said, I want this place to succeed. Here are a few things they can fix.
Curry puffs. A delicious treat with diced potatoes and spices. Here there was some slimy goo that looked like it might create ninjas out of turtles. IT JUST NEEDS TO BE SPICED POTATOES. And as good as peanut sauce is, there’s a reason this dish is served with a sweet cucumber relish/sauce. It’s already deep fried and rich, you don’t need more fatty richness, but the opposite.
The tom Kah had more things in it than actual soup. It’s all about the broth on this dish. Not handfuls of other things.
Dry pad Thai is always disheartening. The taste was there but it was a very dry dish.
The bathrooms still smell like the Irish pub bathrooms from 10 years ago. Change it !!
A little more TLC and attention to detail and these guys could turn it around. But little things add up and unfortunately we just did not enjoy our visit. Reach out if you need help...
Read moreWe ordered Glyn Thai while vacationing in Park City. We love Thai food and noticed it on DoorDash, so we pulled the trigger and ordered a few Thai staples. Here's how we liked everything:
The Crab Rangoon: meh. Not enough crab inside, and the cream cheese inside was the sour kind, not the sweet kind. Thai Fried Rice: pretty good! Nice and salty, and the rice was brown and charred just how I like it. Pad Thai: also pretty good. Nice flavor, but needed more sauce, as it was a bit dry.
We would get Glyn again because the food came quickly and was piping hot. However, the Pad Thai could have been saucier for sure! We've...
